Confirmed after a short bout as a rumor.

Microsoft confirmed the short-lived rumor that Halo Infinite would have free multiplayer. Not only that, but they also confirmed that Halo Infinite, at least the multiplayer component, will support 120fps on Xbox Series X. I'm sure that will also hold true for the PC release as well. Sorry Xbox One owners, you can't handle all those delicious frames. ...

Valve Cracks Down on Using VPNs to Buy Games Cheaper

This should hopefully lead to more fair regional pricing.

For several years now, users were able to make use of a loophole that allowed them to buy games for cheaper if purchased from certain regions. Users were able to trick Steam into thinking they lived in one region where a price of a game was more favorable to them due to exchange rates. This had the unfortunate side-effect of developers and publishers having to increase prices in these regions to put a stop to those using VPNs...

Metacritic Finally Does Away with Day One User Scores

Perhaps done in an effort to suppress user score review bombing.

According to a new report by Paul Tassi, via Forbes, Metacritic seems to be doing away with allowing users to submit scores on games until at least a day after release. Tassi notes that user scores for the just released Ghost of Tsushima only has critical scores posted for the game. The user scores are currently showing a message that user reviews will be permitted starting July 18 at 12PM (PT).

The message...

Team EnVyUs Issues Statement About TmarTn and Ties to CSGOLotto

For those unaware of the illegal dealings of one Trevor Martin (aka: TmarTn), it would be best to begin with this earlier news post. • h3h3Productions Takes On the Shady World of CS:GO Gambling, TmarTn, and ProSyndicate

h3h3Productions' latest video takes a look at the shady and sometimes illegal world of gambling, trading, and skin unlocking in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This comes hot on the heels of a lawsuit filed against Valve for "illegal gambling" in CS:GO. The lawsuit claims that Valve "knowingly allowed, supported, and/or sponsored illegal gambling by allowing millions of Americans to link their individual Steam accounts to third-party websites such as CSGO Lounge ("Lounge"), CSGO Diamon...

I will state right now that if you do not want to see any spoilers, then do not keep reading. Simple stuff, yeah?...

Battlefield 1 Beta Information Coming Soon?

It could be nothing, but I might as well just mention that the Battlefield 1 Twitter account has mentioned the beta once again. It's essentially saying, if you aren't an Insider yet, you should probably become one because there may very well be some news coming maybe soon about a certain Battlefield 1 beta. Actually, I think I said more in that sentence than their Tweet did. Oh well....
