New 'Experimental' Splinter Cell Game Confirmed by Ubisoft CEO

Open World? GAAS? Mobile? VR?

The emotional rollercoaster that fans of the Splinter Cell series has been on for the past few years has been never ending, has had no chill, and frankly, it's gotten to be a wee bit tiresome. In May of this year, a new Splinter Cell was apparently "confirmed" and then it was later revealed to just be a joke.

Last month, we again heard a rumor that a new Splinter Cell was actually in the works. However, that story from July says that Facebook is financing the game and that it will be a VR only title and exclusive to the Oculus...

Mojang Cancels 'Super Duper Graphics Pack' for Minecraft

Performance issues and engine difficulties were too much to overcome.

Sadly, Mojang announced today that they are cancelling the promised Super Duper Graphics Pack that was originally revealed at E3 2017. This visual overhaul was teased for the game during the annual industry trade show and fans were eager to check it out for themselves.

This was going to be an optional piece of DLC that brought a suite of visual improvements to the Xbox One and PC versions of the game without needing to mod it. Sure, a lot of the visual improvements have been done time and time again...

Call of Duty 2020 Rumored to Be Black Ops Reboot

Next stop: Reboot City.

This year, Call of Duty fans are getting a reboot of the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title. Next year, fans may get a reboot of the Black Ops series. This is if the latest rumors are to be believed.

The 2020 Call of Duty will either be Call of Duty: Black Ops 5 or simply Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game will be set in the Cold War era and will also include the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

This all comes courtesy of YouTuber TheLongSensation via his Twitter account. While it may be easy to just write this off as some random person...

No Man's Sky Beyond Launch Trailer

Update arrives August 14.

A launch trailer for the massive Beyond update for No Man's Sky was released today by Hello Games. This update is said to be the "culmination of 12 months of work" on what was originally going to be three separate, large updates. Those three updates have been rolled into this massive update.

We already touched upon some of the new features and content coming to the game in our last post. The biggest addition, at least for PC and PlayStation VR owners, is the addition of full VR support for No Man's Sky. There are also some additional...

Solos Finally Coming to Apex Legends

But only for a limited time.

Apex Legends will finally allow introverts to play without worry starting on August 13. A Solos Mode will be introduced into the F2P battle royale game. So far, the game has only really allowed for three-man squads.

The addition of Solos Mode is the good news. The bad news is that this mode will only be added to the game for a limited time. This Solos Mode will run from August 13 through August 27 in Apex Legends. Best get your fill of it while you can, because who knows when or if it will come back afterwards. ...

Blizzard tossed up a splash page for Overwatch that shows three different retail versions of the game (PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One) that will soon be offered up for pre-order. The game is slated for release on June 21. How much will this retail release run you? Well, some have said that their GameStop stores are asking for $40 (USD) for this Overwatch: Origins Edition release. Others have said that they were able to pre-order for closer to $60. What's in the box? We're not sure outside of the game obviously being included. Many have speculated that Blizzard was going to offer the game with a free-to-play model in mi...

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Looks Like Garbage on Xbox 360

A comparison between the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 went up today and man, the Xbox 360 version looks downright ugly at times. Look at this.

It just gets worse from here. YouTube user, Candyland, shows off some of the visual differences between the two generations.

It should be safe to assume that the PlayStation 3 version will look just as bad as the Xbox 360 version shown above.

Don't forget that this is a $50 game that only includes multiplayer, has a variable framerate, and won't get many of the features that the new generation...

  • Fallout 4 Review Embargo Has Its Own Embargo

Fallout 4 Review Embargo Has Its Own Embargo

We heard you like embargoes, so we're putting an embargo on your embargo.

Plan on reviewing Fallout 4? Chances are you received an email telling you that there is a review embargo in place for the game. That date is November 9 at 8AM (ET). That's all well and good, and not totally unexpected for a game release.

What is different is the fact that announcing when your outlet will have a review going live is also under a separate embargo. That's right, you have to wait until November 6 at 10AM (PT) before you are permitted to even just say when your review coverage is going to go live. This mailing allegedly went out earlier today to outlets that are worthy enough to review Fallout 4 ahead of release....

  • Help Support a Family in Need After an Unfortunate House Fire Took Everything

This is a bit of a different news piece than what many are used to here. Last night, Crrrazzzy's mom suffered a house fire. I don't know any of the details outside of reading that she lost everything in said fire, including the family pet.

She is currently in intensive care. Crrrazzzy, whom many of you may better know as Tim, also passed along this picture that shows some of the extensive damage.

Now, here is where you come in. Tim is asking that if you can, to please help out his mom and family with the recovery. A GoFundMe page has been set up where you can donate as much as you can to help. I'm...
