New 'Experimental' Splinter Cell Game Confirmed by Ubisoft CEO

Open World? GAAS? Mobile? VR?

The emotional rollercoaster that fans of the Splinter Cell series has been on for the past few years has been never ending, has had no chill, and frankly, it's gotten to be a wee bit tiresome. In May of this year, a new Splinter Cell was apparently "confirmed" and then it was later revealed to just be a joke.

Last month, we again heard a rumor that a new Splinter Cell was actually in the works. However, that story from July says that Facebook is financing the game and that it will be a VR only title and exclusive to the Oculus...

Performance issues and engine difficulties were too much to overcome.

Sadly, Mojang announced today that they are cancelling the promised Super Duper Graphics Pack that was originally revealed at E3 2017. This visual overhaul was teased for the game during the annual industry trade show and fans were eager to check it out for themselves.

This was going to be an optional piece of DLC that brought a suite of visual improvements to the Xbox One and PC versions of the game without needing to mod it. Sure, a lot of the visual improvements have been done time and time again...

No Man's Sky Beyond Launch Trailer

Update arrives August 14.

A launch trailer for the massive Beyond update for No Man's Sky was released today by Hello Games. This update is said to be the "culmination of 12 months of work" on what was originally going to be three separate, large updates. Those three updates have been rolled into this massive update.

We already touched upon some of the new features and content coming to the game in our last post. The biggest addition, at least for PC and PlayStation VR owners, is the addition of full VR support for No Man's Sky. There are also some additional...

Solos Finally Coming to Apex Legends

But only for a limited time.

Apex Legends will finally allow introverts to play without worry starting on August 13. A Solos Mode will be introduced into the F2P battle royale game. So far, the game has only really allowed for three-man squads.

The addition of Solos Mode is the good news. The bad news is that this mode will only be added to the game for a limited time. This Solos Mode will run from August 13 through August 27 in Apex Legends. Best get your fill of it while you can, because who knows when or if it will come back afterwards. ...

PlayStation 2 Comes to PlayStation 4 Tomorrow

Tomorrow, December 5, Sony will begin to roll out their PlayStation 2 game support for the PlayStation 4. Sadly, this doesn't mean that you can pop in your old PS2 discs and expect them to be backwards compatible on the PS4. Instead, you will have to re-buy those old classics you hold near and dear to your heart. The initial lineup of games available is also quite small.

You Can Now Permanently Remove Terrible Games from Your Steam Library

Everyone probably has a game or two that they simply do not want in their Steam library. Before, all you could hope to do was hide it from showing up on your Steam client's game list. However, you still technically "owned" that game and it would certainly show up if people browsed your library online or if you have any play time in it. Now, Valve is letting all Steam users permanently remove games from their Steam libraries. This is a very permanent solution for those games you absolutely do not want to ever have associated with your Steam account in any capacity. Once removed, that's it. If you want that game back in the future, you'll have...

Konami Barred Hideo Kojima from Appearing at The Game Awards 2015

Tonight, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won for best Action game and best Soundtrack. When the award was presented on stage for best Action title, Kiefer Sutherland went up to accept the reward on behalf of Hideo Kojima. Why wasn't Hideo Kojima in attendance? He usually is.
