Sega Considering More PC Ports After Success of Persona 4 Golden

Persona 4 Golden and other titles are doing well on PC.

Sega says that their recent PC ports of some rather high-profile games have proven to be a great success for the company. Sales of games like Persona 4 Golden, Yakuza 0, and even Catherine have been so successful that Sega is considering bringing more games over to the PC platform. The biggest push for Sega seems to be the surprise success of Persona 4 Golden above all else.

Sega president Haruki Satomi and senior...

More PlayStation Timed Exclusives for Marvel's Avengers

Why not just make the entire game exclusive at this point?

Sony has announced some additional "PlayStation advantages" to buying Marvel's Avengers on the PlayStation platform. These "advantages" are on top of the fact that only the PlayStation platform will have access to Spider-Man as a playable hero. These are also in addition to the exclusive beta period for PlayStation owners, the first of which begins on August 7.

These "advantages" on...

Microsoft Confirms Free Online Multiplayer for Halo Infinite

Confirmed after a short bout as a rumor.

Microsoft confirmed the short-lived rumor that Halo Infinite would have free multiplayer. Not only that, but they also confirmed that Halo Infinite, at least the multiplayer component, will support 120fps on Xbox Series X. I'm sure that will also hold true for the PC release as well. Sorry Xbox One owners, you can't handle all those delicious frames. ...

Valve Cracks Down on Using VPNs to Buy Games Cheaper

This should hopefully lead to more fair regional pricing.

For several years now, users were able to make use of a loophole that allowed them to buy games for cheaper if purchased from certain regions. Users were able to trick Steam into thinking they lived in one region where a price of a game was more favorable to them due to exchange rates. This had the unfortunate side-effect of developers and publishers having to increase prices in these regions to put a stop to those using VPNs...

Final Fantasy XV Gets Yet Another Delay

It looks like you will have to yet again "wait a bit longer" for the release of Final Fantasy XV. The game, which has been in development for about a decade now (that's not a joke), has again been delayed. The new release date is set for November 29, 2016. The previously announced release date was set for September 30.
This release date will allow the development teams time to further polish and conduct quality testing so that the reality of the game can match the expectations of

Blizzard Rolling Out 60 Tickrate Update for Overwatch

Even before its launch, people were raising hell about the poor tickrate situation in Overwatch. It was discovered that the client tickrate was roughly 20 while the servers sat at roughly 60 updates per second. This led to many situations such as being pulled through walls by Roadhog. Or maybe you saw a Killcam where you knew your character was in a slightly different location than what they enemy's feed conveyed. Yes, some of these issues are merely related to lag, but a lot did hav...

THQ Rises From the Dead; 23 Projects in Development

THQ is back! Kind of! Sort of?

It seems as though Nordic Games has been renamed to THQ Nordic. So in a way, it's like THQ is back! Only not. But they are? Yes.
Whilst we take great pride in our Swedish roots and accomplished a great deal under the Nordic Games masthead, we decided it was time to incorporate the THQ name. Those key brands will continue to shape our business in a meaningful way going forward, and THQ Nordic represents a core approach of doing much more

PSA: No Man's Sky on PC is a Technical Dumpster Fire

It seems as though the PC release of No Man's Sky is a bit of a clusterfuck right now. People all over are reporting technical issues that range from being unable to play the game to getting far below expected performance even on the latest and greatest video cards.

A "PC Performance Thread" on NeoGAF has generated literally hundreds of replies in the past few hours from people encountering stuttering, a 30fps cap, ALT+TAB not working, a complete lack of anisotropic filtering,...

  • Xbox One was Best Selling Console Last Month in US, First Time Since October 2015

For the first time since October 2015, the Xbox One was the best selling console in the United States. In case there is any question, the other months were occupied with the PlayStation 4 as the top seller in the US. Microsoft issued a brief statement ahead of next week's NPD sales figures. They said that they are "honored that Xbox One was the best-selling console in the U.S." They go on to say that the hours that consumers spent using all Xbox products was up "18 percent" over the same per...

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Dota 2 Announcer Pack Reveal

There is a Deus Ex: Mankind Divided announcer pack that could potentially be added to Dota 2. I say "could" because the community still needs to vote it in on the Steam Community, but I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that it will be added.

Yes, the announce pack if of none other than Adam Jensen, voiced by Elias Toufexis and was officially created by Eidos Montreal.

And if that doesn't tickle your fancy, maybe the Rick and Morty pac...
