A Rumor Suggests a Knights of the Old Republic Remake is in Development

It's a slow news day, so here's a rumor born from a single site.

A new rumor was fired up yesterday from cinelinx.com that says a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is currently in the works. There might be a bit of validity behind this rumor, we aren't exactly sure ourselves. The track record of cinelinx is unknown to us, but it's a slow news day so let's roll with it.

The site claims that two independent sources have told them that Knights of the Old R...

Court Rules that Player's Free Speech Rights Weren't Violated After Being Banned From a Video Game

Imagine that, a gamer was dumb enough to argue about free speech rights.

A federal court dismisses a case where an (alleged) moron complained about his free speech rights being violated in a video game. A Pennsylvania man actually tried to claim that his civil rights were violated after he was muted by the developers in an online video game.

To interject briefly: Yes, there are indeed people that don't have a fucking clue what "freedom of speech" actually means....

Voidpoint, the studio behind the just released Ion Fury, has apologized for a series of "incidents" wherein multiple developers were found to use transphobic, ableist, homophobic, and sexist language in the game's official Discord channel. This is on top of some homophobic language found within the game itself.

Respawn Apologizes to Ass-hat Gamers for 'Ass-hat' Remarks

Statement issued from Respawn's Vince Zampella.

Respawn's CEO Vince Zampella issued a bit of an apology today after members of the Apex Legends development team called a bunch of toxic ass-hat gamers, well... they called them ass-hats. Donning their biggest surprised Pikachu face possible, these Gamers™ got extra angry when they realized they couldn't just keep dishing it out and not expect some form of retaliation in return. Some continued to throw tantrums, others called for boycots,...

    Sony Bought Insomniac Games Today

    Get ready for more Spider-Man.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has officially purchased Insomniac Games today. You're probably surprised to hear that the studio that developed last year's PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man wasn't already owned by Sony prior to this week.

  • Comanche is Back from the Dead

Comanche is Back from the Dead

It's only been 18 years, but who's counting?

The Comanche franchise is back from the dead. A new trailer for Comanche was shown off this evening at Gamescom 2019 from developer NUKKLEAR. The first entry in this franchise dates back to 1992 with the release of Comanche: Maximum Overkill for the PC. The most recent game was 2001's Comanche 4. Yeah, it's not much of a stretch to say that this franchise is very much back from the dead when the last release was over 18 years ago.

Little Nightmares 2 to Scare Up Consoles and PC in 2020

Things that go bump in the night.

In 2020, the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC will see the launch of Little Nightmares II. This sequel promises to offer more suspense and tense situations when compared to its well-received predecessor. Bandai Namco partnered with developer Tarsier Studios to bring us the story of Mono, a young boy trapped in a world "distorted by the humming transmission of a distant Signal Tower." He and Six, the girl in a yellow raincoat,...
