Report: Xbox, Sony, and Nintendo to Skip E3 2023

E3's big return sounds like it's more of a dud.

In September 2022, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) announced that E3 was returning. Not only was it returning, but it would be the show's first in-person event in four years.

Now, we're learning that none of the three major console makers will have any sort of presence at the trade show. Sony and Nintendo not having a presence probably isn't too surprising. Those two companies had already started to do their...

More Details on the Return to Classes in Battlefield 2042

Classes are coming back to Battlefield very soon. Here's what you need to know.

We have known for a while now that DICE has been planning to re-introduce the traditional Battlefield Class system into Battlefield 2042. Today, DICE took the time to provide a lengthy write-up talking about the changes that are being made in order to add Classes into a game that really didn't have any.

DICE opens their write-up by saying that "Specialists at launch were polarizing to...

Update to Stadia Controllers Ensures a Life After Death

An update will allow you to connect to Bluetooth enabled devices.

According to the watch I don't own, Google Stadia is now probably shut down. Well, if it's not at the time of posting, it probably will be by the time you read this. Stadia was set to shut down on January 18th and, well, it's now January 18th.

At the 11th hour, Google released a new support tool that will allow those with a Stadia Controller to use it as a general Bluetooth controller. Without the use of...

Games to Look Forward to in 2023

I won't lie. I fully expected there to be far more news to post today (January 2, 2023) given that it's the start of the week and the holidays are "technically" over. What I failed to realize is that a ton of people are still off work due to the New Year falling on a Sunday. Thus, here I am opting to do a little write-up about what games I'm looking forward to in 2023 instead of sitting around doing nothing. Who knows, maybe you're looking forward to these games as well. If I missed some games ...

Total Gaming Network's 2022 Games of the Year

It is time once more to talk about the best games that have come out over the past year. As the case has been with previous years, this list of games only includes the titles that I have personally played to some degree. In addition, the games on this list are games that were released in 2022 unless otherwise stated for some specific reason. As I am the only one posting content on the site, this is as much a "Total Gaming Network Game of the Year" as it is my personal Game of the Year selection. ...

Sony Promises Less Talk, More Games for E3 2017

Similar to the previous years, Sony is again going for a "less talk, more rock more games" approach to E3. Sony's E3 2017 press conference, which is scheduled for 9PM (ET) on Monday, June 12, will once again put the focus on video games.

Shawn Layden, his remarks relayed by Time, says that the audience will have to "suffer" only about 90 seconds of his stage presence.
As for the experience awaiting PlayStation buffs when the curtain lifts on Sony's E3 media event, live

Horizon Shipped Over 3.4 Million Copies

It has been reported today that Horizon Zero Dawn has "sold" more than 3.4 million copies as of April 30. That is a period of roughly two months since the game's release. Now, I say "sale" because it has not been specified if those units were sold through to consumers or simply sold to retail outlets, though Sony has only revealed sold-through figures on recent reports. It was however specified that at least 915,000 of that 3.4 million figure were digital sales directly to consumers. ...

Ronaldo Named Cover Athlete for EA Sports FIFA 18

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the global cover athlete for EA Sports FIFA 18. For those not in the know, Ronaldo plays for Real Madrid C.F. As the resident soccer expert, I feel confident in saying that the "C.F." stands for "Courageous Footy."
To deliver innovation in FIFA 18, Cristiano Ronaldo's data was recently recorded during a training session at a mobile EA Capture studio in Madrid. Data capture of Ronaldo's acceleration, run cadence, skills, and shooting technique were all recorded

Steam Direct Fee Details and Changes to Steam Curators

With the imminent death of Steam Greenlight, Valve finally started to get some details out about their Steam Direct program that will replace it. First up, the fee for adding games to Steam Direct will be $100, which honestly sounds a bit low given that this is the same price as what Greenlight was.

But hey, let's see what Valve's reasoning is for making it $100.
We thought it would be great if the game community at large had a conversation about it, including both

Rime DRM Cracked; Developer Moves Forward on Promise to Remove DRM for All

Earlier today it was reported that the DRM used for RiME was cracked. That DRM is, of course, Denuvo. Given that the game just came out on the 26th, this might be a new record for how quickly a Denuvo game was cracked.

RiME's developer, Grey Box, had promised that if the DRM was cracked that they would remove it for everyone.

True to their word, they are moving forward with doing precisely that.

It is instead apparently by Deck Nine.

  • Poll: Which Horror Remake Are You Most Excited For in Early 2023?
    by Shawn Zipay
There are at least three of them coming this year.

It's near the start of the month. It's a new month, a new year, but probably the same you. 2023 will have a number of remakes and remasters released, same as the previous few years. While there are remakes and remasters of games such as Like a Dragon: Ishin and Risk of Rain Returns slated to be released in 2023, we're going to focus only on the horror remakes in the pipeline.

That means, I'm asking just one simple question:...
    Dead Space (January 27)
    25.00%
    1
    Resident Evil 4 (March 24)
    50.00%
    2
    System Shock (March)
    25.00%
