True to Valve tradition, today's release is actually a little bit later than initially expected. During its initial announcement in March, Valve said Counter-Strike 2 would be out in summer. It is now fall, but they only missed...

  • Gaming Heroes Who Have Extended Their Franchises - In Some Seriously Surprising Ways

Fans of any franchise - be it pizza, films or even a certain animation which sent fans into a frenzy recently, are notoriously protective of their favourite characters, taking any change, alteration or extension as a personal affront.

In some cases, however, franchises which expand beyond their limits actually do so for the better - just look at these (sometimes surprising) examples!

Updated Final Fantasy XV PC System Requirements Revealed

Back in August, some of the system requirements for the PC version of Final Fantasy XV were shown off. Those specs were quickly pulled as they were not finalized. I mean, the early requirements said that the game would require 170GB of drive space, which is just absurd (if you're reading this in 2027, don't laugh too hard at this).

However, earlier today, the Windows 10 Store provided some updated minimum and recommended system requirements for the game. These specs "should"...

  • Poll: Are You a Fan of Paying More to Play Early?
    by Shawn Zipay
Get that Premium Edition and play three days early!

Looks like the latest growing trend with game releases is to offer a more expensive Premium or Gold or whatever edition that grants you access to a game a few days ahead of its official release.

Starfield did it with their $99.99 (USD) Premium Edition. Today, Payday 3 is doing an "Early Access" release with their Silver and Gold editions. Diablo 4 did the same thing earlier in the year, as did Madden NFL 24,...

I think it's kind of dumb that people get to play earlier. Spending more shouldn't offer a "head start" on other paying customers.
