Alan Wake 2 Review: A Must-Play Psychological Horror Experience
Easily, the best horror game in years.
In 2010 Remedy Entertainment released Alan Wake, a game where a writer is pulled into a horrifying world seemingly of his own creation. Alan Wake was a game that I bounced off at least two times. Despite the game being well received by critics and fans, I felt like its gameplay was just a repetitive slog that even its unique story could not overcome. When a sequel was announced by Remedy, I found myself extremely indifferent to the news. Still...

Review: Starfield
A safe, if not soulless, journey through the cosmos.
Bethesda Game Studios releases are safe. They are familiar. You know almost exactly what to expect when a major new release from them rolls around. They instill a feeling of "I know this game won't be groundbreaking, but I know I'll have fun." Yes, there are some obvious differences, but the heart of each Bethesda game is almost universally the same. The recent release of Starfield is no different. To put it bluntly: Starfield is Fall...

Smaller YouTube Partners Get Screwed by New Policy
To those of you who like to upload their videos to YouTube in the hopes of earning a few bucks here or there, this is important to hear. YouTube is about to implement some stricter requirements for being a Partner on the website. Partners, if you don't already know, allow uploaders to place ads on their videos. It helps YouTube to earn some money along with the content creators. It was a great way to monetize your work. Now, thanks to the work of some real assholes on the platform, YouTube is d...

Two Point Hospital Announced, Spiritual Successor to Theme Hospital
There once was a game called Theme Hospital. It was a wacky and charming hospital "simulator" in the late 90s that came out from Bullfrog and EA for the PC and PlayStation. It was a damn good time designing your hospital, managing the rooms, staff, and dealing with medical emergencies like the Squits and Chronic Nosehair. Sadly, nothing more ever came from that IP.
Well, it's back. After 20+ years, it's back. Actually, it's sort of back. A game called Two Point Hospital from... -

Blast Off with Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition Now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Private Division, Squad, and BlitWorks have been working hard to build a special version, from the ground up no less, of Kerbal Space Program for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Yes, now current-gen console owners (sorry Switch owners), can now try like really super hard to go into space with rocket designs of your own creation.
The game is, at its core, still the same as the one we all know and love but it features special improvements specific for consoles. This is Kerbal Space... -

Former Driveclub and MotorStorm Devs Form New Studio, Working on New Sci-Fi IP
Wushu Studios is a new independent game development studio that is made up of former members of Evolution Studios, BioWare, PlayStation, and more. Evolution Studios, if you recall, is the studio that brought the world the well received MotorStorm games along with the great looking Driveclub racing game for the PlayStation 4. While a bulk of Evolution ended up at Codemasters, a few decided to do their own thing. Thus, Wushu Studios was born. The first order of business for the studio ...

Microsoft informed everyone today that Forza Horizon 3 now has Xbox One X enhancements ready to download and install. This free update, available to everyone playing the game on the Xbox One X, increases the resolution to 4K and adds in some additional visual improvements. Alongside the 4K resolution bump, the game incorporates 4xMSAA! The image quality is absolutely insane already but that's not all. Some of these smaller improvements include better car reflections, higher quality shadows,...

Metal Gear Survive Apparently Has a Plot
Metal Gear Survive is the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V spin-off game that Konami is working on. Yeah, Konami still makes a game here or there, presumably when it's a slow season for pachislot. Metal Gear Survive finds you fighting for survival after Mother Base is nearly pulled into a wormhole following the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. This is already a really stupid plot, even by Metal Gear standards. I'm just going to let Konami's press release do the talking. ...

The Martyr update for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor is one that developer NeocoreGames is calling the "biggest content update" yet.
