    Mafia III Developer Hangar 13 Hit by Significant Layoffs

    It is being reported that development studio Hangar 13 has been hit with a significant number of layoffs today. The only title developed by Hangar 13 was Mafia III, which was released back in 2016. In 2017, 2K Czech was merged with Hangar 13.

    News broke early this morning that THQ Nordic has acquired Koch Media. The deal, worth 121 million euro, means that THQ Nordic also now owns Deep Silver, the publisher of Saints Row, Dead Island, the upcoming Shenmue 3, the upcoming Metro Exodus, and the recently released Kingdom Come: Deliverance.     May and into June is usually when the mid-year lull begins for new game releases. Yet here we are in June 2023 and there are some big games either already out or coming out in the weeks ahead.
