Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

Tim Sweeney Called Valve 'Assholes' in Email to Gabe Newell, Valve COO Says 'You Mad Bro?'

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

No, Starfield and Indiana Jones are not going multi-platform any time soon.

The heads of Xbox stayed true to their word and were indeed a part of a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast. During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Gears of War? Halo?! No, no, no, and no. Though Spencer did not specify what those four titles ...

Kotaku Rumor Suggests Microsoft is Close to Buying Obsidian

A new rumor popped up about an hour ago courtesy of Kotaku and Jason Schreier that Microsoft is close to purchasing Obsidian. I don't normally post a bunch of rumors on the site unless there is good reason for it and the reason I'm posting this one is because Jason Schreier has a great track record on this sort of stuff. So while it's not confirmed or announced anywhere, there is probably a good chance that the rumor being true of Microsoft being close to buying Obsidian. Kotaku's so...

  • Get Famous in the Latest Expansion for The Sims 4

Get Famous in the Latest Expansion for The Sims 4

EA announced a new expansion coming November 16 for The Sims 4. It's called The Sims 4 Get Famous and this expansion will allow PC and Mac users to uh... try to become famous. That all seems fairly self explanatory given the title of the expansion. Your Sims can become celebs by becoming actors, which I assume will be far, far easier than actually becoming a big named actor for real.
In The Sims 4 Get Famous, Sims can launch into celebrity status with an all-new acting career. They

Soulcalibur Documentary Takes Us Back to Where It All Began

There is a Soulcalibur documentary that just hit the Internets courtesy of Bandai Namco. Frankly, I would not be surprised if most of you out there had no idea that the series began its life as Soul Edge, which then became Soul Blade before ultimately becoming Soulcalibur.

This is the first part of what appears to be a multi-part series that takes a look back on the history of Soulcaibur in the lead up to Soulcalibur 6. Without further ado, here is the "Souls and Swords" documentary...

PlayStation 4 "Early Access" Content Revealed for Red Dead Redemption 2

The PlayStation 4 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has some time limited content. The good news in all of this is the fact that it's only limited for 30 days and then it will hit the Xbox One.

This content includes an outfit, a specific type of horse, a saddle, and a weapon. So it's not too much content, but it's still more than "zero" and that never really sits well with me no matter what platform it's for. Anyway, let's get some additional details on this content, yeah? The...
