Fallout 4 Capital Wasteland Mod Returns from Limbo
A short time back, it seemed like the Capital Wasteland mod for Fallout 4 would be stuck in a perpetual state of limbo. The mod was aiming to essentially bring over Fallout 3, environments and all, into Fallout 4. This included the environments, quests, and even the dialogue from Fallout 3.
Yeah, there were more than a few legal issues with at least some of that and after some discussions with Bethesda, the mod team opted to put the project on hold. Thankfully, it looks like... -

Two Popular LEGO Games Pulled from Steam
As the year ticked over into 2019, two LEGO titles were quietly pulled from Steam and other digital retailers. These two games are the now dearly departed LEGO The Lord of the Rings and LEGO The Hobbit.
The removal of these two games was first spotted via Reddit user SuperMoonky. It looks as though these games still have their Steam Store pages intact, but they no longer show up when searching for them. Additionally, there is no option to purchase the games should you somehow... -

Skyrim Mod 'Beyond Skyrim: Morrowind - The New North' Debut Trailer Reveal
We all love massive game mods, especially when they hold nothing back. Thankfully, the mod scene for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is still very much alive and kicking as we're about to find out. A Skyrim mod team has been hard at work creating a mod called "Beyond Skyrim: Morrowind - The New North," or "The New North," or even "Beyond Skyrim" for short. In a broader sense, Beyond Skyrim will be a collection of mods that bring most major areas of Tamriel together... -

Persona 5 R Teased for PlayStation 4
Some days back, Persona 5 fans noticed that Atlus registered a number of new websites indicating that something more was coming for the game. Namely, it was speculated that a Persona 5 R would be announced shortly.
Today, Atlus gave a little teaser on the "P5R" website that indicates a new project will be officially revealed for the PlayStation 4. The problem is, we're going to have to wait until March to find out more about what this actually is. Until then, enjoy... -

Epic Games Reportedly Launching Mobile App Store Next
First, Epic came for Steam on the PC front. They threw piles of cash at studios to put their games on the Epic Games Store for a period of exclusivity that lasts at least one year or more. Now, Epic may be going after that sweet, sweet mobile industry by launching their own mobile games store.
This is according to a new report from MarketWatch.
MarketWatch goes on to say that Epic will once again allow devs to keep 88% of earned revenues. This is in... -

Reminder: Steam to Ditch Windows XP Support on January 1, 2019
In case you forgot, or were simply unaware, Valve will drop Steam support for Windows XP machines beginning January 1, 2019. This more than likely doesn't really impact you unless you are one of the 0.11% that are still using Windows XP as of the November 2018 hardware survey. Of course, Microsoft ended support for XP back in 2014, meaning it has already seen four years without security patches.
Here is what Valve announced earlier this year about their Windows XP support ending.... -

Blizzard Attempting to Clean up Twitch Chat Dumpster Fire by Tying Accounts to Battle.net
If you've ever been on Twitch for even a small amount of time, you probably have a decent idea of just how downright terrible the chat experience can be. It is especially egregious in larger chats and chats that lack proper moderation, filters, or spam reduction modes enabled. Even then, it's still kind of garbage. Blizzard realizes this and they are apparently taking their own steps to try to make the chat experience a little bit less crap.
The studio announced that they will... -

These Are the Top 'Controller-Friendly' PC Games of 2018
Valve just released a new set of charts today as a follow-up to their "Best of 2018" lists from earlier this week. Today's lists provide a look at some the best "controller-friendly" games that players enjoyed throughout 2018. In a weird twist, Valve broke down the games based on the controller that was used to play them: Xbox controller, PlayStation 4 controller, Steam controller, and the Switch Pro controller.
Valve broke each of the pages down into three... -

Free PlayStation Plus Games for January 2019
I only have the free PlayStation Plus games for January 2019 to share with you today as Microsoft has yet to reveal their Games with Gold lineup yet. Sony is offering up games like Steep and Portal Knights for PlayStation 4 owners in the new year. January has typically been a bit of a slower month for the service, which is really unfortunate for those who just got new consoles during Christmas.

Steam Reveals "Best of 2018" Lists
It's the end of 2018 and you know what that means? No, it's not that. Nor is it that. Ew, stop it. Alright, I'll just tell you instead. It's time for Steam's "Best of 2018" lists! You probably actually guessed that given the title, but that's besides the point. Valve has compiled some lists that take a look back at the games released in 2018. These include the top sellers for the year, the best VR titles, and more! Granted, most of these were probably just automatically compiled...
