  Reminder: Steam to Ditch Windows XP Support on January 1, 2019

  
  In case you forgot, or were simply unaware, Valve will drop Steam support for Windows XP machines beginning January 1, 2019. This more than likely doesn't really impact you unless you are one of the 0.11% that are still using Windows XP as of the November 2018 hardware survey. Of course, Microsoft ended support for XP back in 2014, meaning it has already seen four years without security patches.

  If you've ever been on Twitch for even a small amount of time, you probably have a decent idea of just how downright terrible the chat experience can be. It is especially egregious in larger chats and chats that lack proper moderation, filters, or spam reduction modes enabled. Even then, it's still kind of garbage.   I only have the free PlayStation Plus games for January 2019 to share with you today as Microsoft has yet to reveal their Games with Gold lineup yet. Sony is offering up games like Steep and Portal Knights for PlayStation 4 owners in the new year.   In the spirit of just throwing a lot at a wall and seeing what works, Indie studio O'ol Blue Inc. has readied the release of their new free-to-play game, MINImax Tinyverse, for Steam Early Access today. It's got elements of competitive PvP. It's got 3D visuals. It's free-to-play. It's part strategy. It's part brawler. It's also a God-game.
