Epic Games Suing Fortnite Live Event Organizers
This past weekend, a little Fortnite themed event was held in Norwich. The event, called Fortnite Live, charged event-goers around $20 (USD) to enter the event that included a whopping four go-karts, a climbing wall, and areas to play Fortnite.
From multiple accounts, the event was a rather large disaster. The various activities were severely lacking. People had to wait in line in the cold just to get in. In total, around 2,800 people attended the event in which they were mainly... -

Square Enix is using anime to tease the upcoming Final Fantasy XV DLC "Episode Ardyn." Oh, by the way, Square Enix is also announcing today that Episode Ardyn will be out on March 26, 2019.
Before that, though, it's all about Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn - Prologue, an anime short that serves as a prequel to the upcoming DLC. The DLC itself is an all-new storyline that places you in the shoes of Ardyn Lucis Caelum. The content is set 35 years prior to the events... -

The Power of Loot Boxes in Games
Is it gambling like UK online casinos or is it gaming? Loot boxes have been used by developers for the last few years and are subject to many debates. There are some who think that this system allows games to be free, and there are some who claim, they make players accustomed to gambling. In any case, it seems we can continue to discuss loot boxes for a long while. In this article, we will take a close look at the topic and talk about how this mechanics affects games and players. For example, an... -

Day One Patch Notes for Anthem Released
The "day one patch" for Anthem has just been detailed by BioWare and EA. This is the update that will be required for players to download prior to hopping into Anthem on February 22. As far as I can see, this update has not yet been released to those playing on either EA Access or Origin Access.
The update contains a decent list of fixes and quality of life improvements. Notably, it addresses the overly long loading times that many players have been very vocally complaining about. It also helps to address infinite loading screen issues, crash bugs, and more.
The full list of changes can be found below. ... -

MX vs ATV All Out Anniversary Edition Out March 12
It's been one year since the release of MX vs ATV All Out from THQ Nordic and Rainbow Studios. While most teams typically don't really do much for the one year anniversary of their game, Rainbow Studios decided they didn't want to be like normal studios.
Instead, they are releasing a special Anniversary Edition of their game that includes the base game and all of the "most popular" DLC. It will be released on March 12, 2019 for $29.99 (USD). If you were expecting to... -

Review: Ultralite DT Blue Light Filtering Glasses from Eagle Eyes
I spy, with my filtered eye, something that is…
Today, we are going to be reviewing something a little bit outside of the usual. Usually, we typically just review video games or even the occasional piece of hardware for TGN, but a review for glasses? Well, it's certainly a new one for us.
These are not any old pair of glasses though. These are the Ultralite DT from Eagle Eyes. What sets them apart from other glasses is the promise that they will protect your eyes... -

Crackdown 3 on PC Locked to 30FPS in Co-op
If you plan on playing through Crackdown 3 in co-op, it may be worth knowing that the game will be locked to 30FPS. Yes, even on PC.
To be fair to the Xbox One versions of the game, it's capped at 30FPS as it is, even when playing alone. However, the PC version has the ability to play with much higher framerates, including uncapped if you so desire. That is, unless you're playing co-op on the PC.
A number of Reddit users have found out that the 30FPS cap comes into... -

Five Nights at Freddy's for PlayStation VR Rated by ESRB
It looks like more Five Nights at Freddy's is coming whether you want it to or not. The ESRB recently put up a new rating for Five Nights at Freddy's VR for the PlayStation 4. It seems like a real solid indicator that the series is going to make the jump to PlayStation VR.
The game has been rated T for Teen for "fantasy violence." Here is what the ESRB description reads for Five Nights at Freddy's VR.... -

Jade Revealed for Mortal Kombat 11
Yesterday, WBIE and NetherRealm revealed that Jade is another fighter that is included with Mortal Kombat 11 at release. Jade is essentially a zombie in Mortal Kombat 11, having been resurrected "by an evil sorcerer." She used to be a master assassin, known for wearing green clothing.
Now she servers the Netherrealm as an undead Revenant. You hate to see it happen, but alas. She still as her bo staff at least. ... -

Critical Consensus: Crackdown 3, Far Cry New Dawn, Jump Force, and Metro Exodus
Tomorrow is a massive release day for games. For some reason, publishers and developers decided that people who play video games would need a lot of joy in their lives come February 15. I simply cannot fathom why.
Needless to say, there are four major titles being released tomorrow and the reviews for all of them are now in. Well, almost all of them. Though Anthem is also coming out tomorrow, it is only being released for those that have EA Access, Origin Access, or Origin Access...
