BioWare Releases Anthem 1.0.3 Patch in Rare Saturday Update
The 1.0.3 patch for Anthem just dropped earlier today for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 players. While it isn't unnecessarily unusual to see another patch released for a game that has had a few issues, it is unusual to see a patch released on a weekend. Yet here we are on a Saturday talking about the latest patch for the game. That's fine, I didn't want a day off either.
Notable changes in this patch include a huge number of fixes and improvements to the game. These include... -

Respawn Bans Over 355K Cheaters from Apex Legends
Though it's only been out for about a month now, Apex Legends has already amassed over 355,000 bans courtesy of Easy Anti-Cheat. This announcement came from the latest "Respawn Check In" on Reddit.
The team at Respawn made sure to inform the community about this in addition to some other details about what they're working on. Some of these details include further measures they're taking against cheating, what they're doing about spammers, how they're tackling crashes,... -

The Sinking City Delayed Until June
Though originally slated to be released on March 21, 2019, the upcoming investigative horror title, The Sinking City, has been delayed. The new release date for the title is now June 27, 2019. This delay applies to all platforms, those being the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
We got a nice gameplay video for The Sinking City last week. The video showed off some of the investigation parts of the gameplay. I mean, it makes sense, doesn't it? You are a detective after all. You... -

Devil May Cry 5 is Out Now
Fans of the franchise are already well aware, but for the rest of us: Devil May Cry 5 is now available globally. This is the latest in the long-running Capcom developed franchise that saw its peak back with 2013's highly rated DmC: Devil May Cry. This was a game that scored better than the previous three releases.
Actually, according to reviews, the franchise peaked at the very first game, but it's more amusing to say DmC was the best game out of all of them.

Rage 2 media has already displayed a long list of ways in which enemies can meet their demise at the hands of you, the player. The latest trailer is no different. In fact, it amps up the murderous mayhem, and the volume, up to around 11. This new trailer shows off some of the violent combos you can carry out against the baddies of the wild-wasteland.
You will be able to toy with gravity in Rage 2. Use your skills to send foes up into spinning blades or bring them together just... -

Judgment to Ship with Two Sets of English Subtitles
Building off of yesterday's news of a June 25th release date for Judgment in the West, comes word today that the game will ship with two different English subtitles to choose from. This was revealed as part of today's new media release for Judgment on the PlayStation Blog.
The Yakuza localization team already does an absolutely tremendous job, but it looks like they're trying to up the ante with Judgment. The idea to have two separate English subtitles ties in to the fact that... -

EA to Skip Annual Press Conference at E3 2019
EA announced today that they will not hold their regular EA Play press conference this year. EA Play is still going to happen, it's just that there isn't going to be a press conference to kick it off like we're used to. Instead, they will focus on having "multiple live streams" that they plan to air during EA Play.
EA now joins Sony in their decision to forego the annual press conferences at or around E3 time. Sony announced back in November 2018 that they were not... -

Nintendo Switch Getting Labo VR Kit in April
The cardboard industry is about to get another big boom in April. Nintendo announced the Nintendo Labo: VR Kit for the Nintendo Switch this week. It's slated to hit stores on April 12 and includes a basic kit, a big kit, and two optional expansions.
From the descriptions of the kit, it sounds a lot like Google Cardboard with the added benefit of having various motion controls added in via the Switch Controllers. For kids, it's probably going to be amazing.

Players Discover that Anthem's Most Powerful Weapons are the Ones You Start With
Today, a little "PSA" went up on the Anthem subreddit that says clearly that the level 1 weapons players start the game with are the most powerful weapons in the game.
If you think that doesn't make much sense, you would be correct but there are multiple confirmations showing that this is indeed what is going on. Reddit user YeetLordSupreme found that a level 1 common Defender rifle can take down a basic enemy in just four shots. Meanwhile, they found that their level 45 masterwork "Ralner's Blaze" rifle takes six shots to take down the very same enemy.
This is in spite of the basic weapon showing damage of just 286 per shot compared to the 1184 damage per shot with the level 45 weapon. ... -

Judgment to Release in Americas and Europe on June 25
Late last night, Sega announced that Judgment will be released in the Americas and throughout Europe on June 25. This reveal came last night via Twitter along with a few additional details about a pre-order bonus.
Fans of the Yakuza games will want to keep an eye on this one. Why's that? Because it's set in the same world as the Yakuza franchise, made by the same developers, and contains some of the same gameplay elements. However, this is not a Yakuza game, it's merely a spin-off.... -

Valve Decides 'Rape Day' Maybe Isn't a Good Game for Steam
It took some time, but Valve has finally decided that a visual novel "game" about raping women during a zombie apocalypse maybe isn't a good fit for Steam.
The game is (was?) called Rape Day and the premise is pretty much what I said in the line above. The game glorified verbally harassing women, killing them, and raping them throughout the story. The game was under review from Valve and, after multiple articles went up about the game, did Valve see fit to pull its... -

Microsoft Reportedly Releasing an All-Digital Xbox One in May
The "all digital future" may be closer than you think if a new rumor is to be believed. According to Brad Sams from Thurrott.com, Microsoft is getting ready to release an Xbox One S console that doesn't have a disc drive.
Sams says that the internal codename for this device is "Xbox Maverick" with the public facing name being "Xbox One S All-Digital Edition." Pre-orders are apparently slated to go live mid-April with a release possibly coming as...
