PUBG Teams Up with Tera and Resident Evil 2 in Bizarre Crossover Events
In a world where Tetris 99 exists, nothing in the world of battle royale surprises me anymore. Case in point: Today, En Mass Entertainment announced that there is a crossover event between TERA, an action oriented MMORPG, and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the popular battle royale game not called Fortnite or Apex Legends.
This collab will run for an entire month beginning on March 5 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This event will find Tera players "dropping-in... -

Eternity: The Last Unicorn Releases March 5
Action-RPG Eternity: The Last Unicorn will be released on March 5 for the going price of $19.99 (USD). It will be out on this date for the PlayStation 4 and PC. An Xbox One release is coming later this year, presumably for the same price.
True to the game's name, there are actual unicorns involved in this game's story. Not only that, but the fantasy story dives heavily into Norse mythology and tackles ideas like immortality. ... -

Assault Android Cactus Hits Nintendo Switch March 8
The colorful twin-stick shooter, Assault Android Cactus, is hitting the Nintendo Switch on March 8. You may recall seeing our review for it when it originally released on the PS4 in 2016 where we found it to be a largely enjoyable game. It also came out for PC in 2015 and Xbox One in 2017.
The Switch release will include Campaign+, which reimagines the original 25 stages with new enemy waves, dynamic transformations, and "more intense boss fights that provide a tough twist... -

Tech Support: Error Unknown Release Date Announced
Time. To. Hack. That is precisely what you'll be doing come February 27 when Tech Support: Error Unknown releases on the PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam and other major retailers.
The game begins with you taking up a position of a new member of the IT department for Quasar Telecommunications. This company is a "multinational-juggernaut of a corporation." As the game isn't a simulator, this isn't where the story ends. Instead, players will soon find out that something... -

Darkest Dungeon 2 Announced
Darkest Dungeon 2 was officially announced today. The reveal came not from a press release or just a teaser trailer, but rather in an exclusive interview between PC Gamer and developer Red Hook Studios. The original game, a turn-based roguelike that picked up quite the fanbase, was originally released back in 2016.
Despite this unique reveal avenue, Red Hook didn't say too much about the new game. Some of the details pulled from the interview can be found below.- The combat

Dwarf Slayer Character Reveal for Warhammer: Chaosbane
The first of four playable characters was given a reveal trailer today for Warhammer: Chaosbane. The character is a dwarf and they are a Slayer. I wanted to clear that up because the headline reads that the character is a slayer of dwarfs and that's just not right.
Their name is Bragi Axebiter and they have taken up the oath of the Slayer. Having taken up this oath, he vows to cleanse his honor by dying in combat against a formidable adversary. Warhammer: Chaosbane is slated... -

Progressing the Karma System to certain points with characters will open up different side quests related to those characters. Should you decide to partake of these newly open quests and finish them, the players will be rewarded with new items... -

The Warclaw Mount Revealed for Guild Wars 2
The Warclaw is a new and somewhat fearsome feline mount for Guild Wars 2. Slated to arrive on February 26, this mount is obtainable via the World vs. World PvP mode. However, once you earn it, you can summon it anywhere and everywhere that other mounts are able to be summoned.
The Warclaw has some special abilities including Evade, Battle Maul, and Chain Pull. These can prove to be quite useful in a variety of World vs. World scenarios. It will be made available to everyone... -

Epic Games Suing Fortnite Live Event Organizers
This past weekend, a little Fortnite themed event was held in Norwich. The event, called Fortnite Live, charged event-goers around $20 (USD) to enter the event that included a whopping four go-karts, a climbing wall, and areas to play Fortnite.
From multiple accounts, the event was a rather large disaster. The various activities were severely lacking. People had to wait in line in the cold just to get in. In total, around 2,800 people attended the event in which they were mainly... -

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn DLC Teased via the Power of Anime
Square Enix is using anime to tease the upcoming Final Fantasy XV DLC "Episode Ardyn." Oh, by the way, Square Enix is also announcing today that Episode Ardyn will be out on March 26, 2019.
Before that, though, it's all about Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn - Prologue, an anime short that serves as a prequel to the upcoming DLC. The DLC itself is an all-new storyline that places you in the shoes of Ardyn Lucis Caelum. The content is set 35 years prior to the events... -

The Power of Loot Boxes in Games
Is it gambling like UK online casinos or is it gaming? Loot boxes have been used by developers for the last few years and are subject to many debates. There are some who think that this system allows games to be free, and there are some who claim, they make players accustomed to gambling. In any case, it seems we can continue to discuss loot boxes for a long while. In this article, we will take a close look at the topic and talk about how this mechanics affects games and players. For example, an... -

Day One Patch Notes for Anthem Released
The "day one patch" for Anthem has just been detailed by BioWare and EA. This is the update that will be required for players to download prior to hopping into Anthem on February 22. As far as I can see, this update has not yet been released to those playing on either EA Access or Origin Access.
The update contains a decent list of fixes and quality of life improvements. Notably, it addresses the overly long loading times that many players have been very vocally complaining about. It also helps to address infinite loading screen issues, crash bugs, and more.
The full list of changes can be found below. ...

March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.
