Tim Sweeney Called Valve 'Assholes' in Email to Gabe Newell, Valve COO Says 'You Mad Bro?'

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

Sony just laid off about 900 people across multiple PlayStation studios around the world. These 900 or so laid off employees account for roughly 8% of the total workforce for Sony Interactive Entertainment.

President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan, announced the layoffs to the public today. The public statement came after an email was sent to all employees informing them of the layoffs. From Ryan's...

Xbox Confirms PlayStation 5 Releases, Diablo 4 on Game Pass, and Future Hardware Plans

No, Starfield and Indiana Jones are not going multi-platform any time soon.

The heads of Xbox stayed true to their word and were indeed a part of a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast. During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Gears of War? Halo?! No, no, no, and no. Though Spencer did not specify what those four titles ...

    We all drift down here.

That's right, Destiny 2's "Season of the Drifter" is out today and that means a new update for the game has come out. Today, Bungie released the 2.2.0 update that contains all sorts of changes and additions and probably nerfs to your favorite class that used to be able to skate around at mach speeds but can no longer do so because "screw you, Zips!"

    What was I saying?

Oh right, Season of the Drifter is the latest content release for Destiny 2. Let's just look at the changelog before I forget what I was doing again. ...

Watch the One Piece World Seeker Opening Cutscene

Or don't. I'm not your boss.

There is a new video out today for One Piece World Seeker courtesy of Bandai Namco. The new video isn't like a normal trailer. It is instead the opening video to the game. Players will get to find out how "Luffy and his friends' adventure kicks off."

For those unaware, you control one Monkey D. Luffy (that's seriously his name?) as he explores the dreaded Prison Island. Prison Island, for those who don't know, has been wrecked...

THQ CEO Offers Largely Hollow Apology Following Disgusting AMA

It's been roughly one week since THQ Nordic GmbH decided to do an AMA on 8chan, a site that is best known for allegations that they host and link to suspected child pornography, a site that contains rampant racism, a site that engages in harassment campaigns, and a site that engages in doxxing. These are just a few of their most notable "issues." Again, it's a place where people go when even 4chan thinks they're too fucked up.

It took THQ Nordic over 15 hours to remove...

Apex Legends Surpasses 50 Million Players and 1 Mozambique Kill

It feels like less than a month ago when we found out that Apex Legends was sitting at over 25 million players. Oh, it was less than a month ago when that news popped up. Today, the team at Respawn Entertainment announced that they have now surpassed 50 million unique players.

If you do the math, that's about... carry the 1, divide the 0... yeah, that's double what they were at back on February 11. There isn't too much else to add here. In case you don't know, Apex Legends is...

DICE Buffs Shotguns in March 5 Update for Battlefield 5

DICE has already provided the patch notes for the Battlefield V update that is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, March 5. This is "Update #4" for Battlefield V Tides of War Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes. Yeah, their naming conventions on these updates are a bit annoying, I agree.

Of the changes included in this update, we're going to see an overall buff to the shotguns in the game. DICE somehow came to the conclusion that they were now weaker than SMGs? I, uh, hm......

Sony Reportedly Offering Full Refunds on Anthem for Some PlayStation 4 Users

Despite Sony having one of the most strict refund policies around, it seems as though they are making some exceptions for Anthem on the PlayStation 4. Crashes and bugs aren't really all that uncommon for games these days. However, Anthem seems to be taking things a step further by completely turning off the PlayStation 4 in some instances.

This Reddit thread made just a few hours ago is just one of many reports of this particular issue happening to someone. A couple of users...

If you recall from yesterday's news, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the latest Star Wars title that EA is getting ready to publish. Unlike other Star Wars titles released in the past couple of years, this one isn't being developed by DICE but is instead being developed by Respawn Entertainment.

For those who are wondering why...

New Video for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Features Lord Drakkon

A new trailer for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid came out today. In it, we get a better look at the Lord Drakkon character that is included in this fighting game.

I haven't seen Power Rangers in like two decades, so I don't know if this Lord Drakkon character is in the series already or if they're new for this game. A brief Google search says that Lord Drakkon is an evil version of Tommy, the White Ranger. He appeared first in the Power Rangers comics back in 2016. So, there you have it. ...

    Fortnite Season 8 Promotes Piracy

The eighth season of content for Fortnite went live earlier today. Get your sails ready, your peg leg waxed up, and your hook sharpened because Fortnite Season 8 is all about the pirates life for me.

But wait, there's more! Who is a pirate's greatest nemesis? If you answered scurvy, you'd be wrong! It's ninjas! Unlike some ninjas, these probably don't have blue hair. I guess Epic is trying to pull back in that Sea of Thieves crowd on Twitch? There's also some stuff about a giant...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered Rated in Europe

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was apparently just been given a rating by the Pan European Game Information board (PEGI). This specific rating is for the PlayStation 4. And yes, that is the actual title that is given.

So far, nothing about this has been announced by Activision yet. Hell, nothing about this year's Call of Duty release has been revealed at all yet.

I just can't help but feel incredibly indifferent about this if the Modern Warfare...

  • Poll: What is 2024's Biggest Gaming Disappointment So Far?
    by Shawn Zipay
    It's AAAA vs WB.

March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.

Between the Rocksteady developed live-service Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the "AAAA" quality Ubisoft developed Skull and Bones: Which is the bigger disappointment for you?
