Devil May Cry 5 is Out Now

Fans of the franchise are already well aware, but for the rest of us: Devil May Cry 5 is now available globally. This is the latest in the long-running Capcom developed franchise that saw its peak back with 2013's highly rated DmC: Devil May Cry. This was a game that scored better than the previous three releases.

Actually, according to reviews, the franchise peaked at the very first game, but it's more amusing to say DmC was the best game out of all of them.

    Devil...

Judgment to Ship with Two Sets of English Subtitles

Building off of yesterday's news of a June 25th release date for Judgment in the West, comes word today that the game will ship with two different English subtitles to choose from. This was revealed as part of today's new media release for Judgment on the PlayStation Blog.

The Yakuza localization team already does an absolutely tremendous job, but it looks like they're trying to up the ante with Judgment. The idea to have two separate English subtitles ties in to the fact that...

EA to Skip Annual Press Conference at E3 2019

EA announced today that they will not hold their regular EA Play press conference this year. EA Play is still going to happen, it's just that there isn't going to be a press conference to kick it off like we're used to. Instead, they will focus on having "multiple live streams" that they plan to air during EA Play.

EA now joins Sony in their decision to forego the annual press conferences at or around E3 time. Sony announced back in November 2018 that they were not...

  • Players Discover that Anthem's Most Powerful Weapons are the Ones You Start With

Today, a little "PSA" went up on the Anthem subreddit that says clearly that the level 1 weapons players start the game with are the most powerful weapons in the game.

If you think that doesn't make much sense, you would be correct but there are multiple confirmations showing that this is indeed what is going on. Reddit user YeetLordSupreme found that a level 1 common Defender rifle can take down a basic enemy in just four shots. Meanwhile, they found that their level 45 masterwork "Ralner's Blaze" rifle takes six shots to take down the very same enemy.

This is in spite of the basic weapon showing damage of just 286 per shot compared to the 1184 damage per shot with the level 45 weapon. ...

Judgment to Release in Americas and Europe on June 25

Late last night, Sega announced that Judgment will be released in the Americas and throughout Europe on June 25. This reveal came last night via Twitter along with a few additional details about a pre-order bonus.

Fans of the Yakuza games will want to keep an eye on this one. Why's that? Because it's set in the same world as the Yakuza franchise, made by the same developers, and contains some of the same gameplay elements. However, this is not a Yakuza game, it's merely a spin-off....

Valve Decides 'Rape Day' Maybe Isn't a Good Game for Steam

It took some time, but Valve has finally decided that a visual novel "game" about raping women during a zombie apocalypse maybe isn't a good fit for Steam.

The game is (was?) called Rape Day and the premise is pretty much what I said in the line above. The game glorified verbally harassing women, killing them, and raping them throughout the story. The game was under review from Valve and, after multiple articles went up about the game, did Valve see fit to pull its...

    by Shawn Zipay
    It's AAAA vs WB.

March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.

Between the Rocksteady developed live-service Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the "AAAA" quality Ubisoft developed Skull and Bones: Which is the bigger disappointment for you?
