A Plague Tale: Innocence Goes Gold - On Track for May 14 Release Date
Asobo Studio and publisher Focus Home Interactive announced today that A Plague Tale: Innocence has gone gold. This means that the game is finalized and ready for its release on May 14. On this date, the game will be out on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Asobo Studio, though an Indie dev, has developed or helped to develop games such as FUEL, ReCore, Quantum Break, and Ratatouille.
We've already covered the game quite a bit over the past couple of years. You... -

Borderlands 3 Dated for September 13, 2019 - Confirmed Six Month Exclusive to Epic Games Store
Borderlands 3 will officially be released on September 13, 2019 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store for PC. In case you missed the obvious "hints" dropped earlier this week, or were in denial as I repeatedly saw from people on other sites, the PC release is indeed a six month timed exclusive on the Epic Game Store before it will hit other PC storefronts like Steam.
However, the point of this isn't to talk about how completely bullshit exclusives... -

Vertigo Sucks a Little Less After Today's CS:GO Update
Valve just rolled out a fresh update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive this evening that makes some adjustments to three maps. These maps are none other than Vertigo, Nuke, and Abbey. The biggest changes tonight hit Vertigo and Abbey, with Nuke receiving only little bitty fix.
As always, the update will be automatically applied via Steam.... -

Refunds Now Allowed on PlayStation Store Pre-orders but There is a Catch
For the longest time, if you wanted a refund from Sony for a purchase made through the PlayStation Store, you were either completely out of luck or were maybe given a one time exception. There were a few other times where Sony cracked open that refund door another inch, such as when games were severely broken to the point of crashing systems, but these were made once in a blue moon. Even then it wasn't a guarantee that you would be issued a refund if you requested one.
Yesterday,... -

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris Announced for PS4, XB1, and Steam
Bandai Namco announced this week that Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris is coming to the Americas for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. You play as Kirito as they battle through the "Underworld," which is a "mysterious virtual world set in the anime series' Alicization arc."
There's a whole lot here I'm not familiar with. I'm just going to let the rest of the press release announcement for the game speak for itself. Plus, check ou t the new announcement trailer and screenshots. ... -

Doom is the Theme for QuakeCon 2019
If you were to say that Quakecon 2019 is Doomed, you would be correct. Not only because that's the on point headline that Bethesda used in today's press release, but also because Quakecon 2019 is focusing on Doom! It's not even being called QuakeCon 2019, but is instead being called QuakeCon: Year of DOOM!
DOOM! DOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Even with all this Doom, there's not a whole lot of gloom to be seen, unless you aren't able to get the registrations you wanted for the... -

Now Deleted Borderlands 3 Tweets Suggest September 13 Release on Epic Store (Updated)
Earlier today, the official Borderlands 3 Twitter account put up some now deleted tweets. Normally this wouldn't be a "thing" to care about, but these particular tweets included some previously unknown information about the release of Borderlands 3.
Among the information revealed is the potential release date for the game. The date looks to be September 13, 2019. In addition, it seems as though pre-orders for the game will get access to the Gold Weapon Skins Pack,... -

More Details About the Valve Index VR Headset Revealed
It's no real secret that Valve has been working on a new in-house first-party VR headset. Images of their development units were seen back in July 2018. Just this past week, a special page on the Steam Store was discovered that makes it very clear Valve is almost ready to start selling their VR hardware to the world.
The page on Steam tells us that their headset is called the Valve Index and that we can expect to see additional details starting May 2019. That was pretty much... -

The NBA Jam Announcer in Rage 2 is No Joke
I fully admit that I was about to ignore this email today. I believed it to be nothing more than yet another April Fools' joke, but it's apparently super real.
Bethesda announced today that the legendary announcer from the NBA Jam games, Tim Kitzrow, will be a special narrator voice in Rage 2. They're calling this special pre-order bonus the "'He's on Fire' cheat code" though it's probably just an option you can toggle on and off instead of an actual cheat code. Though... -

Valve Embraces Dota 2 Gambling
There is no denying that Dota 2 is an esports juggernaut. As the game enters into its sixth year this Summer, the popular "multiplayer online battle arena" (MOBA) shows no signs of slowing down. Last year, the annual Dota 2 tournament, The International, offered the biggest esports payout of any single video game tournament. In fact, The International occupies the top five positions on the top esports earnings list.
This means that with the rise of Dota 2 esports comes... -

Tomb Raider Legends: The Board Game Announced
A new tabletop player has entered the game. Square Enix announces Tomb Raider Legends: The Board Game. Slated for release in May 2019, players are now able to pre-purchase this actual, physical board game for $59.99 from the Square Enix Store and from select retailers.
The game sounds like it plays out a lot like a typical Tomb Raider title. Players will assume the role of Lara Croft as she seeks out a hidden artifact. Players will encounter a number of dangers, explore mysterious... -

Judgment Announcement Trailer
Judgment has a new trailer available today. Sony put this new "announcement" trailer up on their YouTube page just a short time ago. We don't have any additional information to share with you about said trailer or the game, but that's just fine.
If you need more details about Judgment, you can always read through the release date announcement. By the way, Judgment is still apparently on track to be released in the Americas on June 25, despite it being pulled from stores... -
