Microsoft Increases Price of Xbox Live Gold to $60 for 6 Months

That's a 100% increase in some cases.

Microsoft has officially increased the price of Xbox Live Gold. It used to be that you could get an entire year of Gold for just $60 (USD). Now, you get just six months of Gold for $59.99. This makes a year of Xbox Live Gold as much as $120, or double what it used to be not that long ago.

Other price increases include the three-month plan for $29.99 (USD), and one-month is now $10.99. These price increases will impact new and lapsed...
 

Valve Boss Says Company Still Has Games in Development

These are games that the company are "going to be announcing."

In an interview with New Zealand's 1 News, Valve head honcho Gabe Newell said that his company is still very much in the business of developing games. Though he refused to talk specifically about Citadel or Half-Life 3, Newell did give some good news to fans that are interested in Valve's game offerings.

Valve and Other PC Publishers Fined by EU Commission

The issue revolves around the companies "geo-blocking" various games.

The European Commission has fined Valve and five publishers a combined total of €7.8 million for a breaching of antitrust rules. The other publishers in question include Bandai Namco, Capcom, Focus Home Interactive, Koch Media, and ZeniMax.
