Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

  • Oculus Announces 'Rift S' and 'Quest' VR Headsets Releasing May 21 at $400 Each

Oculus held their F8 event today during which they revealed two new and very different VR headsets. In comparison to the also just announced $1,000 Valve Index, these two Oculus headsets start at $400 (or $399 if you want to be specific), and that's the price for the full package on both of these.

A major advantage with these two headsets, when compared to the Index, is the fact that they utilize inside-out tracking. That means they make use of headset mounted cameras and sensors...

Anthem's Dwindling Playerbase is Causing Issues with Matchmaking

Less than a week after BioWare announced an indefinite delay of most of their Anthem roadmap comes word that its dwindling player base is having some issues with proper matchmaking. Given that BioWare hasn't set a new release date for the numerous gameplay additions and improvements, the player base seems to be dying off fast enough that it's causing issues for those that are still playing.

According to a new report from Forbes, players are finding that they are unable to consistently...

Bank Heist Gameplay from Saints Row: The Third on Nintendo Switch

A new gameplay video is out today for the Nintendo Switch version of Saints Row: The Third. The game, announced earlier this month, offers Switch owners the chance to play the game on the go. Today, the first video in a new "Memorable Moments" video series, was released.

Employees at Riot Games Threaten Walkout

It's been a real wild ride for Riot Games, the studio responsible for creating League of Legends. Sadly, this seems to be one ride that is far from over. Employees are now considering a walkout after Riot Games took steps to prevent employees from taking legal action against the company.

Riot Games had moved to prevent further lawsuits against the company after multiple lawsuits were filed following Kotaku's recent investigation into the studio's sexist culture. At least two...

Necromancer Class Revealed for Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr

Bones that move on their own! Wait, that's from a different game, but the idea still stands! In the coming release of The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr, the dead will rise again with the new Necromancer class.

This new class was just announced today for ESO from ZeniMax Online Studios. Fans of the Elder Scrolls lore may already know this, but Necromancy is a bit of a no-no. You either steer clear of it or you practice it in secret. When it arrives with the Elsweyr expansion...

  • Future of Fan-funded Skyrim Multiplayer Mod in Question as Dev Says They 'Don't Owe the Community Anything'

There exists, somewhere, the shell of a Skyrim multiplayer mod called Skyrim Together. As its name indicates, this mod tries to turn the single-player Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim into a shared online experience with a group of friends or even strangers. At least, that's what the case would be if the mod was actually out. If the words of the mod's developer are anything to go on, that release may never actually happen.

According to PCGamesN, a member of the mod team named maxgriot...

  • Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes Named Madden NFL 20 Cover Athlete

Though the Kansas City Chiefs haven't won a Super Bowl since 1970, that isn't stopping EA from having one of their best stars be the Madden NFL 20 cover athlete. I get the feeling Chiefs fans needed something to cheer about today.

If it wasn't obvious, Madden NFL 20 was announced this evening. It will be released on August 2, 2019 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Origin. Those who have Origin Access Premier will apparently get to play it early, but I'm not seeing...

Rage 2 Trailer Explains What Rage 2 Is

Bethesda claims that no mere "safe for work" words can possibly describe just what Rage 2 actually is. They are instead offering up an "explosive new trailer" to do the talking for them.

I haven't watched it yet myself, but I can only assume that the trailer is just swear word after swear word, plus a ton of explosions and violence. If nothing else, I'm sure the trailer has a lot of sick explosions and violence. I really can't see them releasing a trailer...
