Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

The heads of Xbox stayed true to their word and were indeed a part of a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast. During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? • Anthem Falls Out of Top 49 Most Played Games on Xbox

Anthem Falls Out of Top 49 Most Played Games on Xbox

It's being beat by games that have been out for far longer.

This week, Microsoft updated their most played games section on their store. These are the most played games in the Xbox ecosystem from 1 to 49. Why 49 and not 50? How am I supposed to know? The important part here is that Anthem has now fallen off of this most played list.

The last handful of games on the list include Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Borderlands 2, Brawlhalla, and Battlefield 1. That's Battlefield...

'Absolute Majority' of Metro Exodus Sales Were on Consoles

THQ Nordic founder tries to avoid talking about Epic Games Store sales figures.

Lars Wingefors, THQ Nordic's CEO and founder, seemed rather reserved when talking about the sales figures for some of THQ's most publicized releases this past year. Specifically, he shied away from talking specifics when it comes to PC sales of games like Metro Exodus and outright ignores another question regarding sales of Satisfactory.

A lot of this information came courtesy of the latest...

RuneScape Expanding with 'The Land Out of Time'

Get ready for a "Jurassic spark" this July.

    Can you guess why?

That's right, there will be dinosaurs! This land was pulled straight out of the past...

New Gameplay Trailer for The Sinking City

    Witness the madness.

A new gameplay trailer is out today for The Sinking City. As we've talked about already, The Sinking City is a game smothered in Cthulhu mythos and wrapped in plenty of detective focused action. It's being developed by Frogwares and published by Bigben. There was another gameplay video, released just this past month, that focused more on the investigation side of things.

The Sinking City is currently slated to be released on June 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. ...

  • PSA: Big PlayStation Store Sale is Live - Offers Double Discounts for Plus Subscribers

Some games can be had for up to 80% off.

Sony just kicked off a big double discount sale for a bunch of PlayStation 4 games, a decent amount of PlayStation 3 titles, and a handful of Vita games. I say that this is a "double discount" because that's what Sony is saying. There is already a sale price for non PlayStation Plus subscribers. But if you are a Plus subscriber, there is an additional discount on top.

This means that non-Plus subscribers can get up to...

Superhot VR Released on Oculus Quest

Oh yeah, the Oculus Quest and Rift-S are out today too.

The Superhot team have released an Oculus Quest version of Superhot VR today. This new release goes hand in hand with today's release of the Oculus Quest. The team is calling this release the "definitive Superhot VR experience." As an owner of the regular Rift and Superhot VR, that kind of stings a bit to hear.

However, there is the fact that the Quest doesn't have any wires hanging off of it, nor does it...

Four Things to Consider Before Buying a Gaming Laptop

Gaming laptops, as the name implies, are not designed for everyday use. Most gaming laptops are going to offer more power and higher specs than what a person needs for working at an office or simply streaming videos from Netflix. When you look at the gaming laptop options that are available, it can be overwhelming. Gaming laptops are made by companies that have a stellar reputation, including Asus, MSI, HP, and Dell. Most of these companies do a great job in designing their laptops so that they...
