Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

The heads of Xbox stayed true to their word and were indeed a part of a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast. During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Gears of War? Halo?! No, no, no, and no. Though Spencer did not specify what those four titles ...

Some of these videos are so in-depth that they analyze everything from how the particular skin fits the hero’s backstory to the color palette.

Naturally, when the latest hero, Sigma, entered the Overwatch scene, people...

MechWarrior 5 Drops Steam for Epic Games Store; Refunds Being Offered

    Also, it's delayed until December.

It's a hell of a day for hopeful MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries fans. We just learned that MechWarrior 5 has decided to drop Steam to be an Epic Games Store exclusive. The appeal of Epic's cash is apparently too tempting a mistress for the team at Piranha Games to pass up.

Not only is MechWarrior 5 an exclusive to the Epic Games Store, but the game is also delayed by a couple of months. This shift to the Epic Games Store now means that mod...

  • Arma 3's Alien Focused 'Contact' Expansion is Out Now

Arma 3's Alien Focused 'Contact' Expansion is Out Now

    Yes, aliens.

Though Arma 3 is known for its gritty, sometimes excessive, military realism, that doesn't mean it's now allowed to be a bit silly if it wants to be. That seems to be the thinking behind today's release of the new Contact spin-off expansion that came out today. As you can probably guess from the name, this does indeed involve aliens.

This expansion was apparently revealed just a few weeks back. We seem to have missed that one when it first showed up. Our bad....

PS4 and XB1 updates will follow at 2AM and 3AM respectively. On the plus side, they say that they have fixes that target "extreme instances of invisible soldiers." On the other hand, the total number of changes can be counted on just two hands.

For a fairly major update, this seems to be rather...

    Catherine: Full Body 'Decisions' Trailer

    Choices matter.

Atlus just released a new trailer for Catherine: Full Body today. This trailer, Decisions, gives players a little taste of the game's main story and how your choices do, indeed, matter. In addition, word around town is that there is a free demo for the game available now on the PlayStation Store.

Obviously, the choices you make in the Catherine: Full Body demo may not matter too much. However, when the full game releases in Western markets on September 3,...

Wolfenstein: Youngblood Releasing a Day Early on PC
