Madden NFL 20 Championship Series Announced
John Madden.
EA and the NFL announced the start of the EA Sports Madden NFL 20 Championship Series (MCS). All four Madden NFL Major tournaments will be held during key NFL moments during the season.
These key moments include the NFL Kickoff, the NFL playoffs push, the Super Bowl, and the NFL Draft. And for those that like sponsors, you may be thrilled(?) to learn that the NFL partners of Pizza Hut and Snickers will also serve as sponsors for the MCS. Apparently these will... -

Overwatch Design Team Claims Sigma's Bare Feet Are Meant to Sell the 'Mad Scientist' Look
The design of heroes, both visually and gameplay-wise, always sparked heated debates in the Overwatch community. In fact, dozens of YouTubers “rose to fame†recording videos where they shared their thoughts and opinions regarding in-game skins. Some of these videos are so in-depth that they analyze everything from how the particular skin fits the hero’s backstory to the color palette.
Naturally, when the latest hero, Sigma, entered the Overwatch scene, people... -

Resort Boss: Golf Out Today on PC
Build and run your own golf resort.
It may not be SimGolf but it's perhaps the closest thing to it. Resort Boss: Golf is out of Early Access today thanks to the efforts by Excalibur Games and Gus Martin. It's a tycoon management title that allows players to create and operate their own golf resorts.
There is even a scenario editor added that now allows players to create their own challenges. In addition, players can now add in things like a driving range or putting green... -

New DLC for This War of Mine 'Fading Embers' Arrives August 6
Survival at any cost.
On August 6, 11 bit studios will release the Fading Embers DLC as part of their This War of Mine: Stories series. Players will again dive into a new narrative-driven scenario where they will play as Anja. She, like many others, lives in a warzone and carries a heavy burden. Fading Embers will be released on Steam, GOG,... -

MechWarrior 5 Drops Steam for Epic Games Store; Refunds Being Offered
Also, it's delayed until December.
It's a hell of a day for hopeful MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries fans. We just learned that MechWarrior 5 has decided to drop Steam to be an Epic Games Store exclusive. The appeal of Epic's cash is apparently too tempting a mistress for the team at Piranha Games to pass up.
Not only is MechWarrior 5 an exclusive to the Epic Games Store, but the game is also delayed by a couple of months. This shift to the Epic Games Store now means that mod... -

Arma 3's Alien Focused 'Contact' Expansion is Out Now
Yes, aliens.
Though Arma 3 is known for its gritty, sometimes excessive, military realism, that doesn't mean it's now allowed to be a bit silly if it wants to be. That seems to be the thinking behind today's release of the new Contact spin-off expansion that came out today. As you can probably guess from the name, this does indeed involve aliens.
This expansion was apparently revealed just a few weeks back. We seem to have missed that one when it first showed up. Our bad.... -

The Shortlist that is the Battlefield V Update 4.2 Patch Notes
Ouch.
DICE finally revealed the patch notes for Update 4.2, which is slated to hit Battlefield V tomorrow (Thursday, July 25) starting at 1AM (PT) with the PC update. PS4 and XB1 updates will follow at 2AM and 3AM respectively. On the plus side, they say that they have fixes that target "extreme instances of invisible soldiers." On the other hand, the total number of changes can be counted on just two hands.
For a fairly major update, this seems to be rather... -

Catherine: Full Body 'Decisions' Trailer
Choices matter.
Atlus just released a new trailer for Catherine: Full Body today. This trailer, Decisions, gives players a little taste of the game's main story and how your choices do, indeed, matter. In addition, word around town is that there is a free demo for the game available now on the PlayStation Store.
Obviously, the choices you make in the Catherine: Full Body demo may not matter too much. However, when the full game releases in Western markets on September 3,... -

by Shawn ZipayIt's AAAA vs WB.
March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.
