Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

No, Starfield and Indiana Jones are not going multi-platform any time soon.

The heads of Xbox stayed true to their word and were indeed a part of a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast. During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Gears of War? Halo?! No, no, no, and no. Though Spencer did not specify what those four titles ...

Sonic Looks Fantastic in New Trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog Movie

Now this is a good looking hedgehog!

Back in April of this year, the first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie was unleashed upon the world. I say "unleashed" not because of the terrible Sonic Unleashed game, but because of the unspeakable horrors Sonic's movie design thrust upon an unsuspecting world.

A few days later, the movie's director, Jeff Fowler, said that they were going to make Sonic look less weird. In late May, the movie was officially delay...

Review: Journey for Elysium (PC VR)

A short trip to the afterlife.

For the past several months now, we have offered up glimpses of the story-driven VR adventure title Journey for Elysium. We saw a game that had a unique visual style, the promise of a story that would take us all to an afterlife, a world filled with architecture inspired by Greek mythology, and mind-bending puzzles to solve. The unique visual style was certainly eye catching, but I often wondered if the rest of the game would be able to hold up to this...

We Happy Few DLC 'We All Fall Down' Releases on November 19

This will be the game's last piece of DLC.

Gearbox Publishing and developer Compulsion Games announced the release date for We All Fall Down, the final piece of DLC for We Happy Few. Though the original game came out near the tail end of 2018, Compulsion Games has continued to support the title with a number of content updates and general updates here and there. Perhaps it's time to return to the game to see how it has improved since I reviewed it back in August of 2018.

Dragon Ball Super Broly Coming Soon to Dragon Ball FighterZ

    Get ready for more Broly.

A Dragon Ball Super variant of Broly is coming soon to Dragon Ball FigherZ, the fighting game from Bandai Namco and Arc System Works. A firm release date wasn't given in the press release, nor was it provided in the new trailer (seen below), but I'm guessing he will be added to the roster "soon."

Broly (DBS) apparently "has some ideas on who is the most powerful and baddest Saiyan of them all" is. He's also "looking forward...

Today, Google revealed a list of 12 games that will serve as the launch titles for when Stadia has a soft launch on November 19. For $130, you were able to get in on the ground...

EA Working on Cross-Save and Progression Sharing Between Steam and Origin

Seems EA is serious about this return to Steam.

With the recent announcement that EA was making a return to Steam, a number of questions remained unanswered. A couple of those questions focused on whether or not there would be support for things like cross-save or even cross-progression between EA's own Origin platform and Steam.
