Embracer Lays Off 97 Employees from Eidos; Cancels New Deus Ex

Embracer's rampage continues.

Eidos-Montreal, a development studio currently under the Embracer umbrella, made the sad announcement that employees at the studio were being laid off. Eidos took to social media to confirm that 97 people have been let go "from development teams, administration, and support services".

    As far as rumors go, this one really isn't all that out of left field. Earlier today, Tyler McVicker of Valve News Network, suggested that a VR version of Left 4 Dead is real.

    That's pretty much it. That's all he has to say on this particular matter: "Left 4 Dead is real." Oh, ok. Unsurprisingly, he dared not share anything additional to back up his claim.

    Back on December 12, 2018, DICE decided to adjust the TTK (Time To Kill) for weapons in Battlefield V. A lot of the changes made weapons a fair bit less effective at actually taking out enemies.     A New Outlast Game was Just Announced

    No, it's not a VR game.

    Despite the inclusion of what appears to be some weird VR goggles on the announcement image, the next Outlast game is not, in fact, a VR horror game. This is a point that developer Red Barrels has had to state repeatedly on their brief announcement for The Outlast Trials.


    While it may not be a VR game, it isn't exactly going to be Outlast 3. The Outlast Trials will be a co-op horror game set in the same universe as the previous two games....
