DreadOut 2 Slated for February 20 Release

More scares based off of Indonesian horror tales arrives soon

The original DreadOut was a real "love it" or "hate it" sort of horror title. The game, released only on PC for Windows, Mac, and Linux, came across as a modern spin on the Fatal Frame formula. In the original, players were tasked with solving a variety of puzzles while protecting themselves from ghostly entities by photographing them with either a smartphone or a digital camera that they find through...

Anthem is Finally Getting a Massive Overhaul

BioWare officially announces their plans to make major changes.

Anthem as it currently exists is hanging on by the most tenuous of threads. Despite apparently being one of 2019's top selling titles, at least according to data shared by The NPD Group, the player base is next to non-existent. It would take a significant amount of work to get players interested in the game once again, which is apparently what BioWare has been working on behind the scenes for a little while now.

Hot New Key Art for Final Fantasy VII Remake

    It's pretty.

Square Enix publicly released a new piece of artwork today for none other than Final Fantasy VII Remake. The only place it was made available was on Twitter, so we'll all have to deal with that Twitter compression goodness for this.

You can find the full image above while also checking out the embedded tweet below. It's a key art sandwich.

This new piece of media came just a day after it dawned on people that the delayed PlayStation 4 release...

Metro Exodus Returns to Steam on February 15

Has it really been a year already?

On January 28, 2019, publisher Deep Silver announced that Metro Exodus would be a timed-exclusive on the Epic Games Store (affiliate link). In the here and now, this is a fairly common pile of crap that we're used to seeing and experiencing. At that time, however, it was the early days of these sorts of announcements. Outrage was palpable. Tempers were on edge. And so on and so forth with the cliches.

    Metro Exodus would be exclusively...

Final Fantasy VII Remake Won't See Other Platforms Until Mid-April 2021

With the PS4 delay came an unfortunate side-effect.

In December 2019, Square Enix provided some fresh, new media for Final Fantasy VII Remake. At the time, the developer showed off a new trailer for the game, provided details on various pre-order bonuses, and even snuck in a new look at the game's box art.

On that box art was a little blurb about how the game was a "PlayStation Exclusive," at least until March 3, 2021. Almost exactly one month later, Square Enix...

More New Releases Found More Success on Steam in 2019 Compared to 2018

2019 was another big year for the PC platform.

Steam has been around for quite some time now. In fact, 2020 marks Steam's 17th anniversary come September. 17 years is a long time for anything. If you didn't know any better, you might be sitting there right now thinking that after all this time Steam could not be improved or iterated on in any capacity. At best, all that happened was that a bunch of new games were added and they called it a year. Right?

    That is where you...
