WWE 2K21 Officially Cancelled
To the surprise of literally nobody.
Earlier rumors suggested that there would not be a WWE 2K21 released later this year. That wasn't exactly the most far-fetched rumor ever out there given how absolutely God-awful WWE 2K20 was. We're talking about one of the worst reviewed games ever and the worst game released in 2020. It received only a 39% critical average with only 2% of all critics actually recommending the game.
The confirmation comes from a First Quarter earnings... -

Nintendo Confirms 160,000 Accounts were Accessed via 'Hacking'
Nintendo themselves weren't hacked.
Following up on an earlier report, Nintendo has confirmed that a limited number of Nintendo Accounts have been compromised via "hacking" attempts. Nintendo is currently disabling the ability to log into Nintendo Accounts through the use of the Nintendo Network ID (NNID) after they discovered that about 160,000 accounts were accessed by outside parties. Nintendo said that the IDs and passwords used were obtained outside of Nintendo and have... -

Red Dead Redemption 2 Coming Soon to Game Pass
Learn about having a little faith beginning May 7.
On May 7, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be added to the Xbox Game Pass. This is only for the console version of the Game Pass and does not include the PC.
However, with this bit of good news comes a little bit of bad news. On the same day, May 7, Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V will be removed from the Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft offers a kind reminder that your Game Pass subscription does offer a 20% discount on the game if... -

DICE Cancels All Future Battlefield V Chapters
No Normandy. No Eastern Front. It's all done.
For the developers at DICE, the war is over. The team has made the decision to ditch their "Chapter" idea, which effectively brings an end to their idea that "every chapter brings a new battlefield." Originally, DICE had a grand idea to take players through a significant chunk of WWII. Their idea was to spread out the war over a series of chapters. Each chapter would take us to a new period of time and location in the... -

GameStop Makes Stupid Decision to Reopen Stores Already
Welcome to GameStop, where our employees are completely expendable.
We're still in the midst of a global pandemic but that sure hasn't stopped the morons of the world from wanting to open everything back up. Speaking of which: GameStop corporate have started to reopen a number of stores around the world. They join city mayors, state governors, and a bunch of Trump supporting protesters that blindly threw themselves at an astroturfing campaign to force people back to work. It's easy... -

March 2020's Top Steam Releases
March was a very big month.
Valve just released their list of the biggest Steam releases for March 2020. Included in the list of games included are games like Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Half-Life: Alyx, DOOM Eternal, and Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord amongst others.
Valve also notes that a fair number of March's new releases also made use of the new standalone soundtrack feature that Valve rolled out recently. Some of those games that make use of the new soundtrack... -

Square Enix Shares Final Fantasy VII Remake Sales Figures
A lot. It sold a lot.
Square Enix revealed how well their Final Fantasy VII Remake sold in its first three days. The remake of the much loved classic RPG saw a combined shipment and sale total that exceeded 3.5 million units in its first three days of availability.
As always, the catch here is that this is a combined total that we were given. This does not differentiate between the number of copies that were actually sold and the number of copies that are just sitting... -

PONG is Officially an RPG Now
PONG Quest is out now.
Atari's latest RPG is one that is based off of a game franchise that you would think doesn't lend itself very well to becoming an RPG. That is unless of course you read our first post about this game back when it was initially announced. Today marks the release of PONG Quest, a new RPG where you assume the role of a paddle and make your way through dungeons.
Atari says that there is a Quest mode that allows players to experience a "single-player... -

Death Stranding for PC Delayed Until July
Another delay as a result of working from home.
You hate to see it happen, but this sort of thing is expected in our current day and age. Early in the day on April 21, Kojima Productions announced that they have delayed the launch of the PC version of Death Stranding. Originally slated to release on June 2, Kojima Productions pushed out the game's release by six weeks to July 14, 2020.
The announcement was made through Twitter and the Death Stranding page on Steam. The...

by Shawn ZipayIt's AAAA vs WB.
March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.
