New 'Experimental' Splinter Cell Game Confirmed by Ubisoft CEO

Open World? GAAS? Mobile? VR?

The emotional rollercoaster that fans of the Splinter Cell series has been on for the past few years has been never ending, has had no chill, and frankly, it's gotten to be a wee bit tiresome. In May of this year, a new Splinter Cell was apparently "confirmed" and then it was later revealed to just be a joke.

Last month, we again heard a rumor that a new Splinter Cell was actually in the works. However, that story from July says that Facebook is financing the game and that it will be a VR only title and exclusive to the Oculus...

Mojang Cancels 'Super Duper Graphics Pack' for Minecraft

Performance issues and engine difficulties were too much to overcome.

Sadly, Mojang announced today that they are cancelling the promised Super Duper Graphics Pack that was originally revealed at E3 2017. This visual overhaul was teased for the game during the annual industry trade show and fans were eager to check it out for themselves.

This was going to be an optional piece of DLC that brought a suite of visual improvements to the Xbox One and PC versions of the game without needing to mod it. Sure, a lot of the visual improvements have been done time and time again...

This all comes courtesy of YouTuber TheLongSensation via his Twitter account. While it may be easy to just write this off as some random person...

No Man's Sky Beyond Launch Trailer

Update arrives August 14.

A launch trailer for the massive Beyond update for No Man's Sky was released today by Hello Games. This update is said to be the "culmination of 12 months of work" on what was originally going to be three separate, large updates. Those three updates have been rolled into this massive update.

We already touched upon some of the new features and content coming to the game in our last post. The biggest addition, at least for PC and PlayStation VR owners, is the addition of full VR support for No Man's Sky. There are also some additional...

Solos Finally Coming to Apex Legends

But only for a limited time.

Apex Legends will finally allow introverts to play without worry starting on August 13. A Solos Mode will be introduced into the F2P battle royale game. So far, the game has only really allowed for three-man squads.

The addition of Solos Mode is the good news. The bad news is that this mode will only be added to the game for a limited time. This Solos Mode will run from August 13 through August 27 in Apex Legends. Best get your fill of it while you can, because who knows when or if it will come back afterwards. ...

  • Twitch Will Soon Add New Perks for Partners Including $10 and $25 Subscription Options

An email that just went out today from Twitch suggests that the company is testing out some new perks for their Partners. These perks include new $9.99 (USD) and $24.99 subscription tiers in addition to the $4.99 monthly subscription that currently exists for all Partners. The email seems to be rather vague in what it actually means to subscribe at the two higher tiers, including whether or not those higher prices result in additional months of subscriber benefits or if they are monthly fees like the $4.99 subscription is currently. The email also suggests that Partners will more easily unlock new emote tiers in order to add more emotes to their chan...

Hot Shots Golf PS4 Finally Tees Off this August in Japan

It's been a long time since Hot Shots Golf (aka: Everybody's Golf) was announced for the PlayStation 4. We're talking about over a year and a half ago when it made its debut at the 2015 Tokyo Game Show. It was planned for release in 2016, but that obviously didn't happen.

The good news is that another new trailer for the game has finally surfaced and it now gives a firm release date of August 31, 2017. Sadly, this release date is only for Japan and there is no word yet on when (or if) we will see it released in other regions.

Star Wars Battlefront II Will Not Have a Traditional Season Pass

In an effort to not fracture the community, DICE is making the tough decision to not include a Season Pass for Star Wars Battlefront II. This comes from Battlefront II's creative director, Bernd Diemer, in a statement made at the Star Wars Celebration.
"We decided on that, and it's one of those difficult decisions because it has so many implications all around," he continued. "When we looked at the way Battlefront had evolved over its lifetime, with the DLC and everything, we decided, 'You know what? For this type of game, season passes are not the best thing. We need to [take it apart] and come up with something better." "We don't want to seg
