Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?

Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

Bungie Brings Back the Nerf Gun on Fan-Favorite Destiny 2 Weapons

Old Bungie is back.

Around the release of the Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2, Bungie had vowed to take a drastically different approach to how they handle community favored weapons in the game. Old Bungie would have nerfed those weapons into the ground without a second thought.

But new Bungie? New Bungie said that they wanted to instead buff up other weapons to make them more attractive choices. This was a part of their "Go Fast Update" initiative. Specifically, here is what they said in all capital letters for some weird reason (via Game Rant).

Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

New Final Fantasy VII Remake Teaser

Just watch it.

A new teaser trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake was finally shown off today. It's the first one shown off in, I think, over a year. It's not much but maybe it'll be enough until we hear and see more this June. ...

Fourth Battleborn Story Operation Available Today

Gearbox and 2K released the fourth Story Operation for Battleborn today. It's called Montana and the Demon Bear and I have a strong feeling that there is a bear involved.

In addition, the studio revealed the fifth Story Operation called Phoebe and the Heart of Ekkunar. I'm guessing there aren't any bears in that one, but one can hope.

30 Years On, Whatever Happened to Dizzy?

Back in 1987, long before Lara Croft emerged from a studio in Derby (in all her angular glory), a simple egg was the best video game hero the British could come up with. Named Dizzy, and created by the Oliver Twins - Philip and Andrew- the series told the story of a somersaulting adventurer with a weakness to everything, particularly hapless heroine, Daisy.

While originally not an egg at all (Dizzy...

Not going to watch Super Bowl LI this weekend? I can't really blame if you aren't. Good thing we have you covered for at least one of the commercials that will air during the game. It's for none other than the Nintendo Switch.

There are two flavors here, one is a short form commercial, the other is an extended cut. Watch one, watch both, watch neither of them. It's no skin off my back what you choose!

  • Report: Nintendo Switch Online Service to Cost Around $25 per Year

Report: Nintendo Switch Online Service to Cost Around $25 per Year

According to reports coming out of Japan from Kantan Games' CEO, Dr. Serkan Toto, the annual price for the Nintendo Switch's online service will be between 2,000 to 3,000 yen. That is equal to about $17.50 to $26.50 (USD).

That's the price per year. This is a far cry from the roughly $60 (USD) that people pay for Xbox Live and PlayStation Plus per year. This is, of course, not factoring in reduced prices during sales.
Naturally, the prices are subject to change. This price range slated for Japan does not guarantee that it will be the same price in other regions. However, this is the...

  • Jury Awards Half a Billion Dollars to ZeniMax in Lawsuit Against Oculus

Jury Awards Half a Billion Dollars to ZeniMax in Lawsuit Against Oculus

Earlier today in Dallas, a jury awarded half a billion dollars to ZeniMax after finding out that Oculus co-founder, Palmer Luckey, failed to adhere to a non-disclosure agreement he had signed. This amount includes $50 million that Luckey himself has to pay to ZeniMax plus another $150 million from the other Oculus co-founder, Brendan Iribe. The main point of this case came back as a bit of a win for Oculus. ZeniMax had claimed that that Oculus stole trade secrets from ZeniMax, which the jury did not find in ZeniMax's favor. Of the $500 million payout, Oculus will pay $200 million for breaking an NDA and $50 million for copyright infringement. Oculus and Luck...
