A new trailer was released today for Spiders upcoming RPG GreedFall. We last saw GreedFall only a short time back when we got a nice new gameplay overview trailer. Today, we're getting a look at some of the party members that will accompany you on your adventures.

These companions will have unique abilities, you can form relationships with them, and you'll get to experience their different stories.

Ion Fury Devs Apologize for Numerous Sexist, Homophobic, and Transphobic Remarks

Sweeping changes are promised as a result.

Voidpoint, the studio behind the just released Ion Fury, has apologized for a series of "incidents" wherein multiple developers were found to use transphobic, ableist, homophobic, and sexist language in the game's official Discord channel. This is on top of some homophobic language found within the game itself.

Over the weekend, a thread had popped up on gaming forum ResetEra that showed multiple instances where the developers had made transphobic remarks via Discord. Members of the dev team were also shown to make...

Respawn Apologizes to Ass-hat Gamers for 'Ass-hat' Remarks

Statement issued from Respawn's Vince Zampella.

Respawn's CEO Vince Zampella issued a bit of an apology today after members of the Apex Legends development team called a bunch of toxic ass-hat gamers, well... they called them ass-hats. Donning their biggest surprised Pikachu face possible, these Gamers™ got extra angry when they realized they couldn't just keep dishing it out and not expect some form of retaliation in return. Some continued to throw tantrums, others called for boycots, while still others did their best "I studied the blade" impersonation.

Even...

Sony Bought Insomniac Games Today

Get ready for more Spider-Man.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has officially purchased Insomniac Games today. You're probably surprised to hear that the studio that developed last year's PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man wasn't already owned by Sony prior to this week.

Insomniac Games was first started in 1994 and remained an independent game developer for this 25 year span of time. They created Spyro the Dragon, the Ratchet & Clank games, along with the Resistance franchise. All of these franchises were PlayStation exclusives, at least initially. Every so...

Middle-earth: Shadow of War "Terror Tribe" Trailer

A new video for Middle-earth: Shadow of War tries to make you forget that the game has micro-transactions and instead focuses on the Terror Tribe. This is a group of Orcs that specialize in spreading fear throughout Mordor. You know, I did not see that one coming.
In Shadow of War, Orcs now belong to tribes, which extend their influence stemming from the Overlords ruling the mighty fortresses throughout the open world, providing a rich ecosystem of missions, exploration and a dynamic Orc society with diverse Orc cultures, all brought to life through the expanded Nemesis System. As master tormentors, the Terror tribe rely on their

  • PlayStation Media Showcase Announced for Paris Games Week 2017

PlayStation Media Showcase Announced for Paris Games Week 2017

This October, Sony will hold a special PlayStation Media Showcase 2017 during Paris Games Week. The event begins on October 30 at 5PM (local time). I assume "local time" means the time in Paris, which means it will be about 11AM (ET) here on the East Coast of the States.

What will they show? Who will be there? Nobody knows!

Previous years included reveals and news on games like Detroit: Become Human, No Man Sky's release date, a Gran Turismo Sport reveal, and more. Interestingly, Sony did not hold a separate conference in 2016. They instead opted just to have their own booth for Paris...

Sonic Mania is officially out tomorrow on the Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (the PC release has been delayed until August 29), which means it's time for a launch trailer.

Blizzard Renames Battle.net Client Yet Again: Now Blizzard Battle.net

First it was Battle.net. Then, it became Blizzard or Blizzard app. At some point there was something about "Battle Tech" or "Blizzard Tech" (I honestly still don't know which one). Now, Blizzard is going to call it Blizzard Battle.net. This totally not confusing announcement came earlier today by Blizzard, makers of Blizzard Battle.net.

Discord Shuts Down White Supremacist Servers

Following the events in Charlottesville, VA (in which a piece of shit Nazi murdered Heather Heyer and injured several other anti-racism demonstrators when he plowed his car into the group), a number of companies are finally starting to take action against white supremacy groups, Nazis, and Nazi sympathizers. Discord said today that they have shut down an alt-right server and a number of associated accounts.
A few followup tweets by Discord said that they do "not read people's private conversations." However, they will "take action when people violate (their) Guidelines/ToS, and actively endorse violence against others." Th...
