Review: FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One

The best feeling controller I've ever used.

Much like its FightPad sibling, the Fusion Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One is also an officially licensed product from Microsoft. That is about where the similarities end between these two drastically different peripherals. Where the FightPad is focused on just one specific genre, the Fusion Pro is built to take on all types of games.

This controller features a soft touch plastic faceplate, rubberized back, metallic accent rings, the same snap-lock USB cable from the FightPad, a 3.5mm audio jack on...

Review: FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One

A design blast from the past.

About a month ago, we brought you news on some new controllers coming out from PowerA. Specifically, the news was about the company's new FUSION Pro controllers and their FUSION FightPad offerings. At the same time, we were offered the opportunity to review these controllers.

Over the past month, I have put both the black FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One and the FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One through their paces. Of the two, I have spent far more time with the Pro controller, but you can read about that...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Does Away with Prestige Levels

New progression system details revealed.

A new blog focused on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare went up today that talks about the progression changes that were made for this year's release. First off, there are no more Prestige levels. Players will be able to earn 55 base levels and 100 additional Officer Ranks in each season of play.

This news comes hot on the heels of word that Modern Warfare is doing away with paid map packs and loot boxes.

Each weapon now also has 100 earnable camo patterns and an average of 50 attachments. You...

Review: GreedFall (PC)

A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

Blizzard Issues Insultingly Pathetic Statement About Blitzchung Suspension and Reasoning

The cowards just doubled down.

Taking a page from politicians and businesses that know late on Friday is the best time to release news that you are positively ashamed to share, Blizzard has finally issued a statement about the recent ban on Blitzchung and two Hearthstone casters.

Before we get into it all, let's just read what they have to say. Here is Blizzard's full statement as it currently appears on their website.

Despite a reduction of six months for the suspension, Blizzard is still punishing Blitzchung. The...

  • The Witcher 3 PlayStation 4 Pro Patch Enables 4K

The Witcher 3 PlayStation 4 Pro Patch Enables 4K

The Witcher 3 on the PlayStation 4 just got that much better for those of you rocking a PlayStation 4 Pro console. CD Projekt RED released a patch today that includes 4K support along with a very slight boost to performance. The actual update is relatively small, so I wouldn't fret too much about it killing your bandwidth. However, since updates are usually cumulative when being calculated, you will need something like 20GB of free space on your storage device. People are already busy arguing about if it's true 4K or if it's using checkerboard rendering....

  • Fortnite Hits 7 Million Players

    Fortnite Hits 7 Million Players

Fortnite sure has been busy these past couple of months. The game has grown to over 7 million players, which is about 6 million more players than it had at last check. Of course, that "last check" was only for the Fortnite Battle Royale game mode, so we were told. Today's milestone seems to be for all of Fortnite, though the accompanying image specifically says Fortnite Battle Royale. You know what? It's a lot of people playing some form of "Fortnite." 7 million people to be more precise. That number will more than likely grow with more people wanting to ...

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Out Now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

One of the best action-RPGs I've played in recent memory, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, is now available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Capcom has brought over what is essentially the PC release of the game for the current generation of consoles. This includes a bump in visual fidelity and a package that includes the base game and the Dark Arisen expansion.

  • Multiplayer Returns to 2005's Star Wars Battlefront II

Multiplayer Returns to 2005's Star Wars Battlefront II

GOG and Disney teamed up to deliver one hell of a surprise to Star Wars Battlefront II fans. I'm talking about the first Battlefront II, the one from 2005. You see, a long time ago (in 2014) the multiplayer for Battlefront II used GameSpy. GameSpy shut down and the multiplayer for Battlefront II died with it. Yes, some third-party solutions existed but there was never anything official. At least there wasn't anything official until now. Disney and GOG worked together to bring the classic back to life. GOG says that all you need to do is to launch the game th...
