Valve and Other PC Publishers Fined by EU Commission

The issue revolves around the companies "geo-blocking" various games.

The European Commission has fined Valve and five publishers a combined total of €7.8 million for a breaching of antitrust rules. The other publishers in question include Bandai Namco, Capcom, Focus Home Interactive, Koch Media, and ZeniMax. Valve's portion of the fine is merely €1.6 million while the rest of the €7.8 million is split up unevenly between the five publishers. The degree to which the...

It's like a whole new game.

A new mod for Fallout: New Vegas, called The Frontier, is now available for public download. This mod has been in development for several years from a dedicated team. This is far more than a simple mod that adds in a few quests and characters. It's almost as if you are playing an entirely new game.

The Frontier is set in Portland, Oregon and features a map size that is roughly the same size as the Mojave from New Vegas. This map is almost as...

According to the just released Battlefield V roadmap, the battle royale mode for the game won't be released until at least March 2019. Talk about just handing the "W" to Treyarch and Activision with their Blackout mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. By the time March rolls around, Blackout will have had a solid five months to be refined and handle customer feedback.

From today, PC and Mac players can investigate everything within this shadowy realm - from the ever-lethal flora and fauna, through the challenge of two new delves and two world bosses, to the full-blown battles that rage throughout

  • Review: EWinRacing Flash XL Gaming Chair

Review: EWinRacing Flash XL Gaming Chair

When it comes to "gaming" chairs, it is obvious that the opinions are as varied as the ever-growing number of brands in the market. Some companies push for the quick buck with products that are very clearly inferior in one way or another. These companies tend not to last long. Really, that's true for any industry. It's just common sense. I was never super into the whole "gaming" aesthetic. I am still not. However, I was offered a chance to revie...

Jade Raymond Leaving EA After Just 3 Years

Jade Raymond is parting ways with EA and the EA Motive studio that she helped to found. Taking up the reigns as studio lead will be Samantha Ryan. Ryan already leads EA Mobile, Maxis, and a BioWare studio.

EA Motive was initially founded in 2015 after Raymond left Ubisoft. The first project for the studio was working with Amy Hennig on the now cancelled Star Wars title from the now closed Visceral Games. EA Motive at least got to put some of that work to use in helping out with...

  • Valve Delays Artifact Beta

    Valve Delays Artifact Beta

Valve's beta for Artifact has been delayed until November 19. The beta was supposed to begin this month but that isn't happening. There is also concern that the game itself, which is still slated to begin on November 28, will also be pushed back due to the very late start on the beta.

PC Gamer seems to be the first outlet to notice this delay. They spotted a tweet by Wykrhm Reddy, a known tester for Valve, in which the November 19 date was prominently featured for the start of...
