Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

Tim Sweeney Called Valve 'Assholes' in Email to Gabe Newell, Valve COO Says 'You Mad Bro?'

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

The heads of Xbox stayed true to their word and were indeed a part of a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast. During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Apex Legends Cross-Progression Development Slows Due to Recent Hacks

It's almost like DDoS'ing is a bad thing done by bad people.

Respawn says that due to an influx of cheaters and DDoS attacks occurring in and at Apex Legends, the team has had to change up some development plans for the battle royale title.

Game director Chad Grenier says that work on cross-progression has been slowed down as a result of the team having to deal with hackers of all kinds. Grenier made this little fact known in a response to a tweet that asked him for an...

    The Best Gaming System Upgrades

A question that is often asked, perhaps more than anything else for new and experienced gamers alike, is where should I start when looking to upgrade my gaming system and what will give me the best bang for my buck in terms of a performance upgrade. For the most part, it’ll ultimately come down to what you’re using your gaming system for – if you’re sticking to games that have lower system requirements or essentially none like growing genres in online betting and gambling...

  • Kojima Doesn't Like Adding 'Director's Cut' to Death Stranding Director's Cut

    Man, what?

Recently, Sony and Kojima Productions announced Death Stranding Director's Cut for the PlayStation 5. This was already rather confusing since the game is the brainchild of Hideo Kojima, so how could this new release be a Director's Cut of any sort? Well, it gets even more confusing after Kojima expressed his annoyance with adding Director's Cut to something that isn't actually cut.

That seems to make sense seeing as how Death Stranding Director's Cut is actually...

Respawn Has Only 'One or Two' Staff Still Working on Titanfall

Everyone else is working on Apex Legends.

The first Titanfall has been virtually unplayable for weeks now thanks to the ongoing DDoS attacks by someone. Recently, Titanfall 2 has been suffering much the same fate. In fact, the attacks on Titanfall 2 really started to ramp up following the attacks on Apex Legends. At least Titanfall 2 still has a single player component that can be played, but those aching for some Titanfall multiplayer are SOL.

    Despite this, Respawn recently...

Japanese Talent Agency to Blame for Lack of Judgment on PC

Sega is unable to reach an agreement with the talent agency.

If you found it weird and annoying that Judgment wasn't coming to PC, you certainly weren't alone. The game was released for the PlayStation 4 in 2019 and came to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and even Stadia in April 2021. At the time, Sega said they had no plans for a PC release.

A little while later, Sega announced a sequel to Judgment called Lost Judgment. This too was also planned for most platforms but...

  • Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection Finally Gets Graphical Options on PC

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection Finally Gets Graphical Options on PC

It literally took over a month to implement this.

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection for the PC has been kind of a big mess ever since its release back on June 9th. Sure, you're getting three classic games for $39.99 (USD), but that's kind of where the positives ended. There was no way to adjust graphical settings such as game resolution, within the game itself. You had to edit a file outside of the game first and then launch it.

For a game coming from a fairly major publisher,...

Resident Evil Village Crack Eliminates Hitching and Framerate Drops on PC

If you guessed that terribly implemented DRM was to blame, you'd be correct.

If you have played the PC version of Resident Evil Village, you probably encountered a few performance issues that are pretty common. If you haven't encountered any performance issues, you should consider yourself extremely lucky and the exception to the norm.

See, Resident Evil Village has some very noticeable framerate hitches whenever you kill most any enemy. Given that there are a lot of enemies...
