Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

  • Multiplayer Returns to 2005's Star Wars Battlefront II

Multiplayer Returns to 2005's Star Wars Battlefront II

GOG and Disney teamed up to deliver one hell of a surprise to Star Wars Battlefront II fans. I'm talking about the first Battlefront II, the one from 2005. You see, a long time ago (in 2014) the multiplayer for Battlefront II used GameSpy. GameSpy shut down and the multiplayer for Battlefront II died with it. Yes, some third-party solutions existed but there was never anything official. At least there wasn't anything official until now. Disney and GOG worked together to bring the classic back to life. GOG says that all you need to do is to launch the game through either GOG or Steam and voila, the magic is applied ...

New Features for WWE 2K18 Include MyPlayer and Road to Glory

We have some more WWE 2K18 news to pass along today. Today's latest focuses on new features for the game in the form of MyPLAYER and ROAD TO GLORY. I'm not sure why these modes are yelling at me, but I'm interested to find out.

The latest posting for WWE 2K18 contains a wealth of additional details that breaks down separate sections in each of these modes. I highly suggest you check them out for the full rundown if you're so inclined.
With MyPLAYER, we explore several different fighting styles as character classes that feel and play differently from one another. Not only this, but each MyPLAYER is upgradeable and customizable as players make progress. In addition,

  • Review: Windjammers (PS4)

    Review: Windjammers (PS4)

What's Old is New Again, But Still Kind of Old.

Windjammers is a blast from the past, for both better and for worse. The game excels at being a fast-paced game that relies partly on reflexes, partly on skill, and partly on actual strategy. The colorful 16-bit graphics look just as great now as they did back in 1994 when the game first came out for the Neo Geo. In fact, I would argue that right now is the perfect time for this Windjammers revival given how many new games are out there that ape the visual style without actually being retro. The game even features a lovely 4:3 aspect ratio mode for purists while also offering a 16:9 mode that stretches the view out. If you stick to the 4:3 ratio, the remaining space on your television is filled with art work for the two competing players. There...

SMG Gets Nerfed in Call of Duty: WWII Beta

If you are like me and feel like the Call of Duty: WWII beta is full of nothing but SMG wielding foes, you aren't alone. It's a broken gun class. They shoot laser beams that hurt. Scientists call them "hurt beams" and they are all over the beta.

Fortunately, the developers are aware of just how stupidly broken that gun class is and they have already addressed it. An update is either already out or is forthcoming that includes some of the following changes and fixes.

New Assassin's Creed Origins Trailer Reminds Us There is Sand in the Desert

There is so much sand in the desert that Ubisoft decided to dedicate an entire cinematic trailer just to the sand in Assassin's Creed Origins. Without further ado, here is a bunch of cinematic sand.

On October 27, you will be able to find out first hand everywhere that coarse, rough, and irritating sand can get to....
