It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

Trailer for Cancelled Duke Nukem Begins Appears Online

Third-person Duke and four-player co-op looked like the main focuses.

A trailer for the cancelled, and probably long-forgotten about, Duke Nukem Begins has surfaced online. The game was in the works at Gearbox around 2008 when it was cancelled, probably due to legal issues surrounding the use of the IP, which is a battle that is still raging even now.

Animation studio Janimation was hired by Gearbox to put together a cinematic trailer for the game before it was scrapped....

Facepunch Studios is hard at work developing a spiritual Garry's Mod successor that they're calling s&box. The sandbox style game started life out as an Unreal Engine project but has since swapped to using Source 2, the engine developed by Valve that is currently in use in games like Dota 2 and Half-Life: Alyx.

Thanks to the limited public availability of s&box to eager developers, Source 2 is...

This evening included the first of five planned showings of a virtual Ariana Grande concert in Fortnite. This is being called the Rift Tour and while you still have at least four more opportunities to catch the show live, I understand that not everyone really cares enough to download Fortnite just for a short virtual concert.

The Ascent Update Fixes Bugs and Adds Missing Features to Game Pass Version

The Game Pass version is now much closer to the Steam release.

The isometric RPG The Ascent was updated this week on PC for both the Windows Store version and the Steam version. The Windows Store version was given a much more substantial update if only because it was lacking features at launch that the Steam version already had included. For example, the Windows Store version lacked features like ray tracing and DLSS support.

Thankfully, developer Neon Giant has been working...

Niantic Responds to the Fans Furious Over Pokemon Go Changes

    They're opening up a dialogue.

Recently, Pokemon Go developer Niantic made some changes to the game that didn't exactly sit right with fans. Specifically, Niantic reverted some changes that they made to the game during the early days of the pandemic (that's still a thing btw). Niantic had made it so that players could interact with Pokestops from further away, something that was a really smart move during this ongoing time of "social distancing."

    by Shawn Zipay
    It's AAAA vs WB.

March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.
