Sony just laid off about 900 people across multiple PlayStation studios around the world. These 900 or so laid off employees account for roughly 8% of the total workforce for Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Embracer Lays Off 97 Employees from Eidos; Cancels New Deus Ex

Embracer's rampage continues.

Eidos-Montreal, a development studio currently under the Embracer umbrella, made the sad announcement that employees at the studio were being laid off. Eidos took to social media to confirm that 97 people have been let go "from development teams, administration, and support services".

    Microsoft announced that Windows 11 will be released on October 5. As expected, this new release will be available as a free upgrade for those who are using eligible Windows 10 PCs, or those that purchase new hardware with Windows 11 pre-installed.     The company is in "final negotiations" with creator Toshihiro Nagoshi.

    The Chinese developer and publisher, NetEase, is reportedly in "final negotiations" with Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi to steal him away from Sega, the company he has been with sine 1989. Bloomberg reports that at NetEase, Nagoshi would build up a new team and develop new games for the company.

    As of right now, a final contract and full extent of his duties have not yet been finalized....
