Tim Sweeney Called Valve 'Assholes' in Email to Gabe Newell, Valve COO Says 'You Mad Bro?'

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

  • New World Might Still be Killing Graphics Cards

New World Might Still be Killing Graphics Cards

This isn't necessarily an issue with the game, but a manufacturing issue or coincidence.

In late July 2021, a beta period for Amazon Games' new MMORPG, New World, caused some graphics cards to die. The lack of a framerate cap was initially blamed for killing a small number of RTX 3090 cards, mainly those from EVGA, but that really didn't make much sense. After all, tons of games can run with uncapped framerates and they don't cause PC hardware to die.

    Amazon Games did...

In addition to the specs, seen below, Turn 10 also talks a little bit about some of the...

Amazon Adds Multiple Servers to Meet New World Demand

    More servers is more better.

Yesterday, Amazon Games launched their new MMORPG New World to some really eager players. I guess the desire for a new MMO was extra strong because damn did this game ever take off. As we reported yesterday, there were several hundred thousand people stuck in server queues for multiple hours. These were in addition to the some 427,000+ players that were already actually playing at the time.

Part of the problem for New World is the fact that...

  • Poll: What is 2024's Biggest Gaming Disappointment So Far?
    by Shawn Zipay
    It's AAAA vs WB.

March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.

Between the Rocksteady developed live-service Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the "AAAA" quality Ubisoft developed Skull and Bones: Which is the bigger disappointment for you?
