Twitch Disables Paid Channel Boosts Due to Pornography

    Twitch being horny on main.

Late last year, Twitch began to test a system that would allow viewers to pay real money to boost a streamer's channel to Twitch's main page. This would perhaps give the streamer some added exposure and help their channel grow. It was also obviously an easy way for Twitch (ie: Amazon) to pull in even more money.

Today, that grand experiment came to a predictable end. Viewers were using this boost feature to push channels to the main page of...

Have up to five accounts on one subscription.

According to a report from Windows Central, Microsoft may soon be adding an often-requested Family Plan to Xbox Game Pass.

There have been family plans available to those using just Xbox Live Gold for several years now. However, it was curiously missing from Game Pass subscriptions. Game Pass only allowed for one account per subscription and that was it.

With this proposed Family Plan option, you will be able to...

    E3 2022 is Fully Cancelled

Oh no, what will we ever do?

The in-person event for E3 was already cancelled a while back for 2022. The potential was still lingering in the air that a digital event would be held again, as it was in 2021. Thankfully, someone opened up a window and that lingering rumor finally dissipated.

E3 2022 is cancelled in every regard. There is no in-person event. There is no digital event. It's done. It's gone. It's outta here. Goodbye, E3.

    The news about E3 2022's...

Xbox Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus Freebies for April 2022

These are the free games coming with your console subscriptions.

Both Microsoft and Sony revealed the free games that are coming included in your ongoing subscriptions to both Xbox Live Gold (and Game Pass Ultimate) and PlayStation Plus for April 2022.

Both platforms are offering up vastly different freebies this month. I'd personally say that the real standout here is Slay the Spire, which will be included in your PlayStation Plus subscription. It's a unique blend of...

Xbox Backtracks on Sharing Media to Twitter Removal

    The complaints have been heard.

Some weeks back, newer Insider builds for the Xbox consoles removed the ability to share screenshots and clips directly to Twitter. The only way you would be able to post to Twitter, would have been to first upload the screenshots to the Xbox app on your phone and then send out the Tweets from that.

Why was this feature removed in the first place? It's not really clear. All that was clear was that users were not happy about this change....

Epic is Again Being Sued Over a Fortnite Dance Emote

This isn't the first time and probably won't be the last time.

Once again, Epic Games is being sued over a dance emote used in their popular battle royale game, Fortnite. YouTuber and choreographer Kyle Hanagami filed a lawsuit against Epic Games that says they copied one of his dance moves without authorization.

Hanagami says that the "It's Complicated" dance emote in Fortnite copied one of his own choreographed moves. A move, he says, that he owns the copyright...

    Virtual Gaming Economy: Trends 2022

The nature of the virtual economy in a fantasy game world often resembles the real world, but there are some differences. Some variables, such as the need to buy food or pay utility bills, of course, may not be present in the virtual economy. Even the most fantasy worlds have a few things in common with the real world: people can own things and can usually sell them as well.

In more popular games, some people begin to crave virtual items as much as real ones. This very real demand is...

Breath of the Wild 2 Delayed Until Spring 2023

Nintendo apologized to fans for the delay.

Earlier today, Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 was delayed until Spring 2023. A very vague release window of "2022" was provided last year by Nintendo, but we really haven't seen nor heard much about this sequel for quite some time.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 may not even be the game's final name. The decision to just make a full-fledged sequel to 2017's original The Legend...

Call of Duty Player Caught Cheating... By Himself

    Hoisted by his own petard.

A Call of Duty: Vanguard player was recently accused of cheating while competing in a recent unofficial paid tournament. The player and streamer, known as Kenji, tried to clear his name by pointing a webcam at his screen while streaming in order to try to prove he wasn't cheating.

It backfired in the most spectacular fashion.

This all went down in a 2v2 Search and Destroy match. Though Kenji and his teammate won the match, the results...
