A Total War Saga: TROY Announcement Trailer

The official announcement of a new Total War game is here.

In a shock to nobody, the leak that came out literally just yesterday has been proven to be true. Everybody pretend to be shocked! A reveal trailer is out today for A Total War Saga: TROY. I believe the only thing that was incorrect in the early leak was the order of the words in the game's title.

This new entry in the Total War franchise takes inspiration from Homer's Iliad. As such, you can expect there to be a big emphasis on the Trojan War and a big emphasis on time-appropriate features, roles, weapons, and...

Rockstar Now Has Their Own PC Games Launcher

Get GTA: San Andreas for free if you use it.

Rockstar now has their own game launcher on the PC. The development studio quietly released this new launcher a short time ago today. They are attempting to entice users to download and use the installer by giving away a free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for a limited time.

Interesting enough, the Rockstar Games Launcher includes some features that took other launchers a little bit of time to add after release. This launcher includes cloud save support, a shop, and automatic updates. The prices on the store seem to...

Watch Almost an Hour of Death Stranding Gameplay

A lot of gameplay footage that may finally provide a lot of answers.

The marketing for the Kojima Productions game, Death Stranding, has left consumers with more questions than answers. It's a game from the mind of Hideo Kojima, so of course the marketing was going to be odd. The problem was, there are a lot of people that just have no idea about what the game was even about even after the numerous trailers.

Maybe sitting down and watching 50 minutes of gameplay will help clear up that confusion. If that doesn't work, then maybe a breakdown of the gameplay footage from...

Final Fantasy VII Remake Tokyo Game Show 2019 Trailer

The trailer is at the bottom after these boring words.

Square Enix showed off an all new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake this week at the Tokyo Game Show. The new trailer offers a fresh look at gameplay, the slums of Midgar, and a peak at the mini-games and summons. Midgar is home to the Shinra Electric Power Company. This kind of totally evil company is in conflict with Avalanche, a resistance group fighting to keep their planet alive. You will also get your first look at some of the Shinra operatives known as The Turks.

Square Enix also included their new artwork...

Cube World is Coming to Steam

Let me take you back to the year 2013...

In 2013, a little game called Cube World came out in an "alpha" release. It was a cute, stylized adventure-RPG that offered a ton of freedom, battles, exploration, and more. A big appeal of the alpha was being able to have all of these adventures with your friends in one world. To its credit, the limited content of the alpha was quite enjoyable but the promise of bigger and better was always just around the corner. The problem came when it was just never updated! Eventually the developer went dark.

We would sometimes...

  • Sony Bought Insomniac Games Today

    Sony Bought Insomniac Games Today

    Get ready for more Spider-Man.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has officially purchased Insomniac Games today. You're probably surprised to hear that the studio that developed last year's PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man wasn't already owned by Sony prior to this week.

Insomniac Games was first started in 1994 and remained an independent game developer for this 25 year span of time. They created Spyro the Dragon, the Ratchet & Clank games, along with the Resistance franchise. All of these franchises were PlayStation exclusives, at least initially. Every so...

  • Comanche is Back from the Dead

Comanche is Back from the Dead

It's only been 18 years, but who's counting?

The Comanche franchise is back from the dead. A new trailer for Comanche was shown off this evening at Gamescom 2019 from developer NUKKLEAR. The first entry in this franchise dates back to 1992 with the release of Comanche: Maximum Overkill for the PC. The most recent game was 2001's Comanche 4. Yeah, it's not much of a stretch to say that this franchise is very much back from the dead when the last release was over 18 years ago.

Comanche is first going to enter into Steam Early Access starting in early 2020. The team wants...

A PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release will take place "shortly after." This marks the second Private Division published title announced today to be coming to Steam. It seems as though the love-affair with timed-exclusive releases on the Epic Games Store has come to an end already, which is good news for consumers.

This sequel promises to deliver all of the usual improvements compared to the original....

Little Nightmares 2 to Scare Up Consoles and PC in 2020

Things that go bump in the night.

In 2020, the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC will see the launch of Little Nightmares II. This sequel promises to offer more suspense and tense situations when compared to its well-received predecessor. Bandai Namco partnered with developer Tarsier Studios to bring us the story of Mono, a young boy trapped in a world "distorted by the humming transmission of a distant Signal Tower." He and Six, the girl in a yellow raincoat, set out to try to uncover the secrets of the world all while fleeing from the twisted monsters that...

The visuals may have taken a pretty big hit, but the fact that you get to play The Witcher 3 on the go on a screen that fits in your hand is pretty cool. Apex Legends Devs Call Some Toxic Players 'Ass-hats' and 'Freeloaders'

    (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

The Apex Legends subreddit has seen better days. Recently, developers Respawn Entertainment had to make some changes to how their Iron Crown Event cosmetic skins were sold after fans complained that it was absurd they were tied to RNG loot boxes. The team at Respawn announced some upcoming changes that will allow those that wanted the skins to buy them directly for $18 (USD).

The Reddit thread announcing the changes also included an attempt at apologizing to the community. To say that it didn't go over too well may be a bit of an understatement.
