Donning their biggest surprised Pikachu face possible, these Gamers™ got extra angry when they realized they couldn't just keep dishing it out and not expect some form of retaliation in return. Some continued to throw tantrums, others called for boycots, while still others did their best "I studied the blade" impersonation.

Insomniac Games was first started in 1994 and remained an independent game developer for this 25 year span of time. They created Spyro the Dragon, the Ratchet & Clank games, along with the Resistance franchise. All of these franchises were PlayStation exclusives, at least initially. Every so...

Rockstar Games Accused of Abusing Tax Laws

Go easy on them, they're a small upstart!

TaxWatch, a UK-based "investigative think tank," just published a report that accuses Rockstar Games of dodging corporate taxes while also taking advantage of millions of pounds worth of tax credits. That is to say, TaxWatch says that Rockstar finagled their profits in a way that keeps its UK-based studios reporting very small figures in order to keep claiming those tax credits, while simultaneously reporting higher than normal profits for the US-based locations.

It's kind of like what happens with a ton of Hollywood...

  • Bethesda Dropping Account Login Requirement for Original Doom Titles

Bethesda Dropping Account Login Requirement for Original Doom Titles

It was, allegedly, never meant to be a requirement.

This past week, Bethesda pushed out the first three Doom titles for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Almost immediately it was discovered that players needed to login to a account in order to play these games. It was made all the more curious when you realize that the first two Doom titles came out starting in 1993 and have no online multiplayer component.

Bethesda took note of the massive amount of disdain that came about from this very bizarre and wholly unnecessary login requirement...
