Report: E3 2023 is Canceled

This fate was inevitable.

According to a report by IGN, E3 2023 is canceled. This comes after weeks of publishers and gaming companies stating that they were not going to attend E3 this year, including Ubisoft, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Sega, Tencent, and more.

IGN's report from March 30 says that two separate sources confirmed with them that the Entertainment Software Association (ESA; the group behind E3) sent out emails to ESA members earlier today announcing the cancellation....

Valve Announces Counter-Strike 2

Valve's massively popular FPS gets an engine upgrade and a test starting today.

Valve officially announced Counter-Strike 2 today after weeks of teases, speculation, and rumors. The developer calls this "the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike's history" and I'm inclined to believe it.

Counter-Strike 2 will launch to everyone starting in Summer of 2023. Counter-Strike 2 will be a free upgrade to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some Counter-Strike:...

Sony's Jim Ryan Reportedly Said His Goal is to 'Block Your Merger' in Closed Door Meeting with Activision

The CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment reportedly had some choice words during a meeting with Activision.

It has been a ridiculous day for Sony when it comes to new details that have come out about the company's opposition to the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard merger.

First, a new report from The Verge's Tom Warren shared some key pieces of information from documents (PDF download) that were recently submitted to the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA)....

Review: The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition

An easy purchase for new players but maybe a hard sell for existing owners.

It was not until I reinstalled the original PC release of The Outer Worlds that I was able to really appreciate the improvements made with the release of The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition. Initially, I believed that this looked exactly like the same game that I had played on PC back in late 2019 when it first came out.

"I'm just not seeing what makes this Spacer's Choice Edition worth...

Hideki Kamiya Apologizes for Scalebound Cancellation

The Platinum Games director apologizes to fans and Microsoft for the cancelled title.

The state in which all three titles in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition released in could be considered "laughable" at best and downright terrible at worst. By now, you have probably seen countless clips shared on YouTube and social media about the numerous bugs and glitches present in this release.

The release was so bad that Rockstar Games had to temporarily pull the PC version...

Warner Bros. has officially announced a new fighting game that blends together characters from several of its popular franchises. It's called Multiversus and it will be a free-to-play fighter that seems like one part Smash Bros. and one part Bugs Bunny.

The reveal came courtesy of a new and in-depth trailer that came out earlier today. The developer behind the game, Player First Games, says that Multiversus...

Sega Announces Sonic and Yakuza Colognes

Now you too can smell like a chili eating hedgehog or sweaty muscle man.

You ever just sit back and ponder what Sonic the Hedgehog would smell like? He's known for eating chili dogs, so would he smell like that or something else? He also likes running through lush green landscapes, so would he perhaps smell instead like freshly washed laundry drying in a summer breeze? It really makes you think, doesn't it?

Thankfully, Sega is here to save us all from life's greatest mystery....

  • The Day 1 Battlefield 2042 Patch is Anemic

The Day 1 Battlefield 2042 Patch is Anemic

It's a whole lot of nothing.

Battlefield 2042 has been available for those that ponied up the big bucks for the Gold or Ultimate editions, priced at $89.99 (USD) and $109.99 respectively. The standard edition of the game is slated to be released in about a day from now on November 19. To say that the game needs a ton of work would be a gross understatement.

The only hope was the promised "Day 1" patch for the game that was said to arrive just prior to the standard...

Thankfully 343 Industries says that they are "looking at" progression.

After this week's surprise release of the Halo Infinite multiplayer, the general feeling among the community has been rather positive. That is, it's been largely positive except for one thing. Most fans seem to agree that the progression system for the game's Battle Pass is God-freaking-awful. Thankfully, 343 Industries say that they are "looking at" the Battle Pass progression and are "gathering...

Saints Row Distances Self from Elden Ring with Lengthy Delay

February 2022 just got a little less packed.

The Saints Row reboot was originally scheduled to be released on February 25, 2022. If that date sounds familiar to you, it's probably because that's the exact same date that Elden Ring moved to after receiving its own delay.

Saints Row will now release on August 23, 2022. Even if you ignore that Elden Ring would be released on February 25, the month of February 2022 was already looking to be pretty stacked. In that month alone...

  • Poll: What Platform Do you Game on the Most?
    by Shawn Zipay
Do you prefer consoles? PC? Maybe mobile is your preferred platform?

This month's poll is a bit generic if only because I really don't know what to ask right now and this is the easiest thing that came to mind. The question is simple: Which sort of platform do you prefer to play games on?

Do you like playing on consoles? Do you prefer to play games on PC? What about mobile games? Maybe you prefer to spend most of your time on your phone playing this, that, or the other....
