MLB The Show is No Longer a PlayStation Exclusive

Soon, MLB The Show will be available on more than just Sony's platforms.

It has just been announced that starting as soon as 2021's release, MLB The Show will no longer be a PlayStation platform exclusive. Though other platforms have not yet been specified, both the official Nintendo and Xbox Twitter accounts were quick to comment on this new development.

For the past dozen or so years, MLB The Show has been developed by San Diego Studio, a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment. Sony has also had the exclusive rights to develop and publish...

New 2K Studio Confirmed to be Working on Next BioShock Game

The first project for the new Cloud Chamber is the next entry in the BioShock series.

2K just announced today that they have opened up a new game development studio under their publishing umbrella. The new studio is called Cloud Chamber and will have not one but two different locations for their operations. The team will operate both out of 2K's San Francisco Bay Area HQ in Novato, CA in addition to a new location in Montreal, Quebec. This marks the first Canadian office for 2K.

The other big surprise today is the fact that Cloud Chamber has...

DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

Almost one year later and DICE is repeating the same exact mistakes.

Back on December 12, 2018, DICE decided to adjust the TTK (Time To Kill) for weapons in Battlefield V. A lot of the changes made weapons a fair bit less effective at actually taking out enemies. DICE said that they found that their "wider player base was dying too fast." That is to say, the shorter TTK wasn't too friendly for new players. To say that the core Battlefield community hated the changes is probably a massive understatement.

So, DICE tried to find a compromise...

Resident Evil 3 Remake Cover Art Leaked

Features a look at Jill, Carlos, and Nemesis.

We seem to have yet another leak on our hands today. This time it's for the still not officially announced remake of Resident Evil 3. It seems as though the cover art for this totally not real game was found on the servers for the PlayStation Store.

A games tracker feature on Gamstat quickly embeded the images from the PlayStation Store and thus made them visible publicly. Since then the images were pulled from being publicly accessible on the PlayStation Store. It's a good thing Gematsu saved the...

The Master Sword and More Coming to Super Mario Maker 2

Nintendo announced a free content update today.

On December 5, Nintendo will release a free content update for Super Mario Maker 2 for the Nintendo Switch. This update will offer players the ability to use new course parts in their designs, a new mode, and a little thing called the Master Sword.

All of this will be included in the 2.0.0 update set to hit Super Mario Maker 2 in just a few days. The Master Sword item will only be usable in the 8-bit Super Mario Bros. style. When acquired, the Master Sword will transform Mario into Link. This new...

  • Subnautica: Below Zero Now Available on Early Access

Subnautica: Below Zero Now Available on Early Access

Subnautica: Below Zero has been released into Early Access today on the Epic Games Store (non-affiliate link here), through Discord, and on Steam. The game is set one year after the events in the original Subnautica. This time, the (mostly) underwater exploration takes place near an alien research station on Planet 4546B.

This game is very much the definition of "Early Access" in that the release lacks content and is very buggy. Those who went through the long stretch of Subnautica development probably already know what to expect here....

  • BioWare to Allow Running in Anthem's Fort Tarsis

BioWare to Allow Running in Anthem's Fort Tarsis

While Anthem has had a bit of a rough go, especially in this past weekend's VIP demo, one thing that wasn't mentioned as being changed is the unusually slow movement speed in Fort Tarsis. Thankfully, BioWare was also listening to the numerous complaints about this artificial speed restriction in the main Anthem hub and have revealed that they are changing things up for the game's full release.

BioWare had intentionally reduced the movement speed in Fort Tarsis to make the player feel more human. This was meant to contrast the fast-paced movement players...

  • Kingdom Hearts 3 is Now Available

Kingdom Hearts 3 is Now Available

The words "Kingdom Hearts 3 is now available" are ones that many fans have been waiting about 13 years to read. That day has finally come thanks to Square Enix and Disney. This marks the release of the latest and, perhaps, last release in the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

I'm not quite sure how well newcomers to the franchise will actually handle this game. The long-running story throughout the games is ... uh... confusing to put it mildly. Maybe "convoluted" is a bit better a word? However, the game has gotten some fairly...

  • Destiny 2 Update 2.1.4 Includes Tons of Class Adjustments and a Special Returning Weapon

The 2.1.4 update for Destiny 2 came out today. The update includes a number of changes to the Sandbox gameplay, with a huge focus on tuning the super abilities for nearly every class and sub-class in the game. Crucible also saw some love today with some tuning adjustments made to heavy ammo in the Competitive game types.

This update also makes some changes to the Black Armory forges, the frequency of the Whispers event on Io, and more. Perhaps the bigger news is the fact that a new questline from the Drifter will allow players to pick up a fan-favorite weapon from the first Destiny. ...

  • Battlefield V's Latest Update Improves Panzerstorm Map, Reduces Footstep Sounds, and More

The second part of the "Lightning Strikes" update for Battlefield V has finally arrived. With it comes a bunch of much needed improvements to the Panzerstorm map alongside some new gear, gameplay tweaks, and more.

The first half of this Lightning Strikes update went live earlier this month. In that update, DICE upped the volume of footsteps to a very, very audible degree. Some may say that they increased it a bit too much. I am one such person. In fact, it seems as though most people thought that the footsteps of enemies were far too loud following...

  • Anthem VIP Demo Weekend Summary

    Anthem VIP Demo Weekend Summary

The VIP demo weekend for Anthem has come and gone already. It was a bit of a bumpy road that included connection woes, infinite loading screens, and broken entitlements. These are just a few of the issues players encountered this past weekend.

It wasn't a complete bust of a weekend, but for a lot of fans and potentials it was certainly disappointing. BioWare's Head of Live Service Chad Robertson explains that while these issues were terrible, they should be fixed for next weekend's public demo. Furthermore, Robertson also goes on to say that the release...
