Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?

Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

Bungie Brings Back the Nerf Gun on Fan-Favorite Destiny 2 Weapons

Old Bungie is back.

Around the release of the Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2, Bungie had vowed to take a drastically different approach to how they handle community favored weapons in the game. Old Bungie would have nerfed those weapons into the ground without a second thought.

But new Bungie? New Bungie said that they wanted to instead buff up other weapons to make them more attractive choices. This was a part of their "Go Fast Update" initiative. Specifically, here is what they said in all capital letters for some weird reason (via Game Rant).

The Epic Games Store just kicked off its own multi-week long sale today. This sale finds discounts of up to 75% off of some titles. It also includes discounts on pre-orders for games like John Wick Hex, Borderlands 3, or Control. Just to name a few.

The way this sale works is this: Some games that are already out are on sale for up to 75% off. Other games that don't have a percentage off will be at least $10 off if their regular price is $14.99 and higher. On top of this, there will be a free game given out...

Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

New Final Fantasy VII Remake Teaser

Just watch it.

A new teaser trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake was finally shown off today. It's the first one shown off in, I think, over a year. It's not much but maybe it'll be enough until we hear and see more this June. ...

Ahead of Major eSports Event, PUBG Creator Says "We're Not eSports Ready"

Nothing promotes your upcoming major eSports event more than saying you are "not eSports ready." But that seems to be precisely how Brendan Greene, the creator of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, feels. This comes just as the PUBG Global Invitational is kicking off in Berlin, Germany.

Greene was asked what the PUBG Corp was doing to ensure that the game is ready for a major eSports tournament.

  • Fans Are Upset at the Latest Update for The Crew 2

Fans Are Upset at the Latest Update for The Crew 2

Today, The Crew 2 was updated to patch 1.0.3. Normally, patches are a good thing because they tend to introduce bug fixes. This update is no exception. However, there was a change included in this patch that are making some fans rather upset.

One of the patch notes says that they have "increased fame needed per iconic level." Yep, the grind to level up just got more grindy and fans are pissed. In the Reddit thread about the update, the top comments are focusing on this single changelog item.
"[Balancing] Increased fame needed per iconic level."

    Yeah, more farming. Thank you!!!

That was the most odd "fix" in these notes. There are l

GOG Offering Extended Refund Policy for No Man's Sky

Just yesterday, No Man's Sky received the big "NEXT" update and with it came the long-awaited multiplayer component. Well, that is unless you have the GOG version on the PC. Apparently the multiplayer component is coming later this year for the GOG version and even then it may not have cross-play with the Steam version.
"From launch, the DRM-free edition of No Man's Sky will include all single-player content introduced by NEXT: third-person mode, upgraded visuals, better base building, player customization, and more. However the multiplayer component will not be ready at launch; we expect it to be released later this year as full multiplayer parity remains in the pipe

WWE 2K19 Wooooo! Edition Announced Featuring, You Guessed It, Ric Flair

The Nature Boy himself, Ric Flair, will grace the cover of the special WWE 2K19 Wooooo! Edition release of the annual wrestling game. I'm not going to lie, that's a pretty sweet name for a special edition of a game right there. What might not be so great is the $129.99 (USD) price tag that is being asked for it. That's just too rich for my blood but you might be interested!
The WWE 2K19 Wooooo! Edition will include:
o Access to WWE 2K19 Season Pass digital content (details announced this summer); o Exclusive playable WWE Hall of Famers ('80s-inspired): "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes and Ricky "The

Realm Royale Headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Starting next week with a closed beta, Realm Royale is making the move to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In order to get things started, you can sign up for the closed beta for either the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One. The game is also currently available through Steam. And if you still need more information, I'm here for you.

Realm Royale is a class based battle royale style game. It may look a lot like Fortnite but it's a bit easier to get into because that whole building thing doesn't exist in this game. At least, that's my opinion of it. I happen to like it more because it lacks the building aspect. The different classes are also a pretty...

TheMexicanRunner Beats Battletoads Turbo Tunnel Blindfolded without Dying

Beating Battletoads in 15.5 minutes is one thing. It's certainly no small feat and it is precisely what speedrunner TheMexicanRunner did this week at ESA Summer. That's quite impressive as it is, but he decided to one-up himself right after his run. TheMexicanRunner played through the dreaded Turbo Tunnel level of Battletoads without dying. Not only that, but he did so while blinded by a bag situated over his head. The bag had an adorable cat print on it. Here is TheMexicanRunner playing the Battletoads Turbo Tunnel level while blindfolded all in one attempt. This is, to put it simply, incredible. ...

  • Fallout 76 Beta Announced for October, But Don't Expect an Invite on the First Day

Bethesda has finally revealed some additional details about their upcoming beta for Fallout 76. Sorry, the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. (Break-it Early Test Application) as it's being called.

First off, we now know that the B.E.T.A. is scheduled for October, with the Xbox One version getting first dibs. PlayStation 4 and PC players will get access to the beta shortly after. We obviously don't have an exact date yet for any of these, only that it will be in October. This means that the span of time between the B.E.T.A. and the planned November 14 release date is just about a month long, which is not too much time in the grand scheme of things....
