Counter-Strike 2 is Out Now

Counter-Strike is dead, long live Counter-Strike!

Without a press release in sight, Valve has launched Counter-Strike 2 to the world. This free-to-play release is available right now and will replace your current installs of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. True to Valve tradition, today's release is actually a little bit later than initially expected. During its initial announcement in March, Valve said Counter-Strike 2 would be out in summer. It is now fall, but they only missed...

Real Witcher School Has License Pulled by CD Projekt Red

The alt-right might have something to do with it, because of course.

There once existed a real Witcher school in Poland. I say "once" because the school had its license pulled by CD Projekt Red back in February. The reason for the license getting pulled may be due to one of the school's staff belonging to a prominent alt-right group.

The Witcher school in question was named 5 Żywiołów, or 5 Elements. It began in 2015 and held roughly 40 events over seven years...

Is Overwatch 2 Doomed to Fail?

Reinventing a service or game is never easy, whilst there are a few that have done it in the past, it’s often not something that turns out all that well. There’s a reason why many services have a certain formula and approach that they stick to and is proven to work. Many of the biggest genres like betting for example will seem familiar in how they operate and even in the bonuses as players can check BetMGM Registration code in Ontario for bonuses for example – operators won’t try to reinvent...

To Nobody's Surprise Hazard Zone Support is Ending for Battlefield 2042

This is the least shocking news ever.

DICE announced that they are no longer going to support or release new content for the Hazard Zone mode in Battlefield 2042.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "How could they end support for something that they never supported in the first place?" And you would be correct in asking that rhetorical question. What this essentially means is that DICE isn't going to convert any new maps into Hazard Zone variants. The mode will...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Releasing October 28

The sequel remake to the remake and reboot of a game that was remastered.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28. This is the follow-up to the Call of Duty: Moden Warfare game that came out in 2019, which was a remake of a 2007 game which led to a direct sequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, in 2009. Got it? Good.

Today's release date reveal included a weird video clip and what is possibly the cover art for the game. With a literal boatload of money...

Destiny 2 Season 17 Trailer Released Ahead of Schedule

    PlayStation Japan did an oopsie.

Bungie has been very cagey about releasing any information regarding Season 17 for Destiny 2. This silence is very unlike the studio, as they commonly have massive information drops days if not weeks ahead of a new Season. In fact, the plan was to not even release the Season 17 trailer until mere hours before the Season begins on Tuesday, May 24.

Leave it up to forces outside of their control to ruin some big surprises for players. PlayStation...

Development Reportedly Resumes on Stalker 2

Development was paused earlier this year due to the war in Ukraine.

In early March it was reported that development on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was put on hold due to Russia's violent invasion of Ukraine. The Kyiv, Ukraine based development team of GSC Game World opted to put their safety and the safety of their families ahead of the creation of a video game.

This week, news that development has resumed on Stalker 2 came from Polish outlet GRY-Online and relayed...

  • Poll: Are You a Fan of Paying More to Play Early?
    by Shawn Zipay
Get that Premium Edition and play three days early!

Looks like the latest growing trend with game releases is to offer a more expensive Premium or Gold or whatever edition that grants you access to a game a few days ahead of its official release.

Starfield did it with their $99.99 (USD) Premium Edition. Today, Payday 3 is doing an "Early Access" release with their Silver and Gold editions. Diablo 4 did the same thing earlier in the year, as did Madden NFL 24,...
