Sony just laid off about 900 people across multiple PlayStation studios around the world. These 900 or so laid off employees account for roughly 8% of the total workforce for Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Embracer Lays Off 97 Employees from Eidos; Cancels New Deus Ex

Embracer's rampage continues.

Eidos-Montreal, a development studio currently under the Embracer umbrella, made the sad announcement that employees at the studio were being laid off. Eidos took to social media to confirm that 97 people have been let go "from development teams, administration, and support services".

    Despite Activision proudly proclaiming that Call of Duty: Ghosts shipped more than $1 billion worth of product to retail outlets, they admitted that they have not actually sold that amount. In fact, they really haven't even come close to that figure.

    Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Update Introduces Fake C4 Planting (November 6, 2013)

    An update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was released tonight. Among the many changes, changes have been made to the way the C4 is planted in maps. It now features an audible tune that everyone can hear but only the player planting will be able to hear the code typing sounds. This allows for the possibility of fake planting, just as CTs can fake diffuse.

    There are more changes to the sound design, fixes to the maps, UI, and more.

    Battlefield 4 on Xbox One Utilizes Kinect for Leaning, Peeking, and Voice Commands

    The Xbox One version of Battlefield 4 will feature a few unique gameplay features courtesy of Kinect. Most notably, it will make use of head-tracking to allow you to lean out and peak simply by moving your head while playing. This removes the problem of having to strafe out from behind cover, which completely exposes your body to attack.     FOV Changing Tool for COD: Ghosts Issued Cease and Desist Order from Activision

    Seeing as how Infinity Ward forgot that people hate a locked FOV (especially one that is around 65 by default), a group took it upon themselves to release a tool that let users change the FOV of the game they paid for.

    Ah yes, it looks as though Infinity Ward copied from their own game for a scene in Call of Duty: Ghosts. The scenes in question are from the ending of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 while the Ghosts' scene is from the start of the game.

    Which is which? You decide!

    And yes, I get that the scenes are not identical, that would just be completely insane. They do, however, use the same rigging, animation, and framing....
