Game publishers, 1C, have released a 1GB tech demo for their upcoming survival-horror title, Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason. The demo is for Vista users only and showcases a lot of the PhysX and DirectX 10 integration included in the game.

Cryostasis takes place in 1981 on a nuclear ice breaker called the North Wind, which has become shipwrecked near the North Pole. The main character, Alexander Nesterov is a Russian meteorologist who must investigate what happened onboard the ship.If you're unable to play the demo, check out a video of the technology demo that we've conveniently embedded in this news post. Cryostasis is slated for release in February of 2009 for the PC.
