Apparently somebody pitched the new Aliens game to Weaver but due to the excessive swearing and un-necessary violence she passed on the offer. However, it appears that neither Obsidian or Gearbox have ever spoke with her on lending her voice talents to their game. Nobody at Sega, the game's publisher, has apparently spoken with Weaver either.
Each company denies having anything related to the "Rednecks" title described by Weaver in her statement.
Do you hear that Atari? If you already asked her once, go ask her again! Just be sure not to have any swearing of violence against innocent civilians in your game and you'll be golden!

They wanted me to do Ripley and I said, Well you have Ripley killing aliens but also sick people and other marines! And every other word out of my mouth was a curse word. I’m not a nun or anything, but I said, ‘This is not true to the character.’ And they also showed me six video games and said it was going to be made by this company. She claims that nobody from the development studio or the publisher has ever gotten in contact with her.
