Jack Thompson, the now former attorney, was permanently disbarred after a ruling from the Florida Supreme Court.
Earlier this year Judge Tunis found that Thompson was guilty of 27 out of the 31 diciplinary issues surrounding him. She had recommended an enhanced, 10 year disbarment. The final ruling made the other day found Jack Thompson permanently disbarred and unable to practice law. He must also pay legal fees to the tune of $43,675.35.
Following the ruling, Thompson shot off an e-mail response to Kotaku.

The timing of this disbarment transparently reveals its motivation: This past Friday Thompson filed a federal civil rights action against The Bar, the Supreme Court, and all seven of its Justices.Jack Thompson, aside from speaking in the third person and acting as spokesperson for conspiracy theorists, will not go down without a fight.
This rush to disbarment is in retribution for the filing of that federal suit. With enemies this foolish, Thompson needs only the loyal friends he has. Thompson always wanted to own a Bar. Now, armed with multiple US Supreme Court rulings that no state bar can do what it has done to Thompson, he is set to own that Bar.
