Insomniac Games Discusses Resistance 2, Killzone 2 Delay Benefits

Eurogamer has extracted some tasty morsels of information from Insomniac Games' CEO, Ted Price.

Price first mentions that Resistance 2 will support the PlayStation 3 "Home" service and will also offer support for the upcoming Trophy system. The Trophy system is an often discussed feature among PS3 fans (and haters), and is supposedly Sony's response to the Achievement system set up on the Xbox 360.

Continuing on, Price then mentions to Eurogamer that Resistance 2's campaign would be "as long or longer than [Resistance: Fall of Man's]." He also confirmed that it will run in 720p at 30FPS.

Finally, Price briefly discusses the benefits of Killzone 2 being delayed and how it will benefit both games. It's not just good for developers in the sense that their products cannot steal sales from each other at Christmas, but it's also good for gamers. They will "get a continuous FPS fix from fall '08 through the beginning of 2009!" Well, I can't argue with that logic!

These revealing statements came from a recent live interview for Eurogamer.
