Infinity Ward is just locked away in a giant room filled to the brim with a mountain of cash, because it's now being reported that Call of Duty 4 has sold over 9 million copies since its release in November. These figures come from the updated NPD sales figures for March that were released yesterday.
In addition to the over 9 million in sales, the Variety Map Pack has been bought over 1 million times since its release last week on the Xbox Live Marketplace! The map pack has not even hit the PSN yet, but will be arriving in the next week. At $10 for the pack, those figures are certainly nothing to sneeze at. The Community Manager at IW, Robert Bowling, elaborated a bit on these DLC figures.
